Scarborough hotel

Posted 05-Sep-2016
Used this hotel for a last minute night away. Very nice location on south cliff and parking right outside however the hotel is looking a bit tired and could do with a good clean. The room was tiny and expensive for what was a premium room with a sea view. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was good and lots of it which set us up for the day. Probably won't go back.

Nice location poor room

Posted 04-Sep-2016
Pros: The check-in /check-out staff was helpful. Breakfast was fine too.
Cons: Hotel atmosphere. Put some dehumidifiers to remove the smell.
Location: Location of the hotel was great, on Esplanade. Being sea side town plenty to do beside stroll on the beach.
Hotel has swimming pool on lower ground floor. On entry to the hotel and throughout one can smell chlorine and damp. Although check-in staff was helpful but the quality of the room I was expecting on offer from Expedia! I booked double room but the size of the room was very small; hotel put a double bed in a single room. There was not space on the side for getting out of bed and the location of the window was very high. Not a pleasant experience.

Pleasant hotel close to sea front

Posted 03-Sep-2016
All reception staff were welcoming and helpful. My daughter and I stayed for three nights and was given a sea facing room which I wasn't expecting and was a lovely gesture. We particularly liked the pool and used the facilities daily. The hotel location is fantastic with easy access to the spa and seafront. I would return to this hotel again and suggest it to friends.

More like a bed and breakfast.

Posted 23-Aug-2016
Pros: The hotel is in a nice part of Scarborough, a little out of town and with lovely views. Nice breakfast.
Cons: The hotel website needs updating, hotel not as described and a little disappointing. More than one staff member doing two jobs.
Location: Nice location, nears lifts to take you down to the seafront and good spot for walking.
We enjoyed our stay, but it's more like s bed and breakfast. Our room was okay but with no view. It had very dirty Windows full of seagull poo and facing a wall. Overall it was good value for money.

dungeon room

Posted 01-Aug-2016
The room we were given was like a dungeon with a window looking up into the street outside and the carpets were disgusting. We asked for a refund and was promised we would get one. It was horrible. There was another couple that left also.

Hotel im Niedergang, so wie das Seebad

Posted 25-Jul-2016
Pros: Die Abreise !

Business Overnight

Posted 21-Jul-2016
Pros: Decent room, (fairly recently renovated?) not the largest, with a wetroom en-suite. Nice position, friendly staff, good hot & cold buffet breakfast.
Cons: Carpets in general looking a bit tired, no off road parking, no evening meals.
Location: Very convenient for South bay, beaches, town, golf.
Scarborough is awash with hotels/guest houses, I have stopped many times and have to say struggled to find a really good one at a respectable price. Unfortunately I'm still looking.

Another great stay!!!

Posted 18-Jul-2016 on Hotels
Stayed at our favourite hotel again and it was lovely. We had a large double room with a newly fitted wetroom, however, the window ledge had peeling paint on the top. This didn't effect our stay at all. We will be booking again in the future.
