Not what we expected
I picked this hotel due to several good reviews and location. This was our anniversary trip. I e-mailed the hotel before arrival telling them about this special occasion asking for a room with a nice view which was confirmed. I had also received an e-mail that as an Expedia Elite guest I would be provided with priority check in and a welcome gift. Upon arrival I was told that my room category had sold out, but "great news" they could upgrade us to a juniorsuite. Arriving at the room we found out that both windows faced a grey wall just in front, no view, no natural light. No welcome letter or welcome gift either, At check in I was asked for my credit card, I asked if they had my prepaid reservation and the clerk said yes, this was just a formality for extras, that if we did not consume anything I would not be charged anything. I did have a drink at the bar , today I received the bill by mail and it was much higher than expected. I contacted the hotel in order to check what the extra fees were for and they explained that it was for breakfast, WIFI, newspaper etc. The advertisement says " Breakfast included" - well, it is not included, you actually pay for it. After arriving home I noticed that one of my silk scarfs was missing - I still had it the night before when I was packing, but iit was not in my luggage which I had with me all the time. Housekeeping did not find anything. I would not recommend this hotel, for this pricepoint you can find better options.
