The Gripslund holiday home lies on its own seafront in Älmeshultasjö. 7 other summer houses are scattered in picturesque and without a direct view of the house nearby. The house lies between Nässjö and Aneby on the Småland highland in the middle of undisturbed nature. To the east you reach the Schärenküst in 150 km, in the south the forested Smaland with the Glass Empire and in the north Stockholm in 350 km. Jönköping and Gothenburg in the west. All the attractive excursion destinations are to be reached in day trips.

A peaceful retreat
If you're looking for a quiet stay in beautiful surroundings this is the place for you. We loved the location and the newly built sauna. The main house is a little dated but still comfortable and cozy. The house closer to the lake housing a cozy lounge room and sauna is absolutely lovely and the outdoor shower a real treat. There is a very nice bathroom with a shower cubicle but we found the outdoor shower so nice that we used it more often. About 15 mins drive away you find Eksjö - a beatiful old town with supermarkets and restaurants. There's plenty of other things to do for days out in the area, we went on an elk safari which was excellent. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful holiday, a real treat away from the stress of everyday life.

Entspannter Familienurlaub in fantastischer Unterkunft
Wir waren im Juli 2023 für 14 Tage in dem Ferienhaus am See. Die Unterkunft ist großartig, es ist alles vor Ort was wir benötigten. Man ist den ganzen Tag draußen, selbst wenn man sich beim Ferienhaus aufhält. Darüber hinaus gab es tolle Extras wie die Sauna, ein Ruderboot, eine Aussendusche, diverse Terrassen mit jeder Menge Sitzgelegenheiten, Relaxsessel im Seehaus, Insektenschutzgitter, Hängematte etc. Unser elfjähriger Sohn hat die Freiheit in seiner "eigenen" Hütte sehr genossen. Unsere sechsjährige Tochter hat unzählige Stunden an den Steinen am Seeufer verbacht. (flaches Ufer, also entspannt zu beaufsichtigen). Es war für jeden von uns etwas dabei. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Jan und seiner Tochter begrüßt und am Ende des Urlaubs mit guten Wünschen wieder in die Heimat entlassen. Ausserdem bekamen wir Ausflugstipps und Hinweise zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir können die Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen

Tolle Unterkunft direkt am See
- gute und schnelle Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter - große Wiese zum spielen - eigener Badesteg und Boot - super Sauna - verschiedene Sitzmöglichkeiten zum gemütlichen Beisammensein drinnen und draußen Rundum gelungener und wunderbarer Aufenthalt. Unser Highlight war die grandiose Außendusche - das einzige was uns gefehlt hat war ein großer Kochtopf ;-)

Erholsamer Urlaub in traumhafter Lage mit Abzügen beim Haus.
Wir hatten Ende Juli einen im großen und ganzen sehr schönen erholsamen Urlaub dort. Die Lage und Aussicht sind super!! Das Grundstück ist schön groß. Die Kinder hatten jede Menge Platz zum spielen. Das Bootshaus mit Sauna und Außendusche waren super. Das Haupthaus hat einen großen Wintergarten mit großem Gasgrill. Dort haben wir die meiste Zeit gesessen um zu essen. Wozu man sagen muss das im Bootshaus auch eine kleine Küche mit Kühlschrank vorhanden ist. Außer den Kühlschrank haben wir sie aber nicht genutzt. Das vorhandene Boot ist schon ein bißchen in die Jahre gekommen aber im großen und ganzen noch ganz ok. Den Elektromotor den man haben sollte wurde von zu Hause mitgebracht. Ein paar Dinge sind leider auch negativ aufgefallen. Die Küche ist sehr klein und das Geschirr war teilweise noch recht verschmutzt. Die Töpfe klebten an der Pfanne fest usw.. Das Wohnzimmer vom Haupthaus ist schon sehr altmodisch eingerichtet. Eine moderne Couchgarnitur würde schon viel ausmachen. Dort haben wir uns auch nur sehr selten aufgehalten. Das zweite Schlafhaus wo die Kinder geschlafen haben ist auch recht veraltet eng und es riecht nicht mehr so ganz frisch.War aber noch ok. Das Schlafzimmer im Haupthaus ist relativ eng mit wenig Ablageflächen. Das hat meine Frau aber mehr gestört als mich. Eine Internet Verbindungen Handy ist dort fast nicht vorhanden. WLAN gibt es auch nicht. Der See hatte bei unserer Ankunft recht niedriges Wasser, sodas am Einstieg nur ca.5 cm Wasser waren. Darunter war eine genauso tiefe Schlammschicht. Damit muss man wohl leben.. Die Kinder fanden es nur schade das es nicht möglich war vom Steg ins Wasser zu springen wie an den Nachbargrundstücken. Der See an sich ist aber sehr klar und sauber. Jetzt noch ein paar Infos für Angler. Der See verfügt über einen sehr guten Hecht und Barschbestand. Gefangen habe ich auf alle möglichen Köder Gummis Swimmbaits und Topwater. Am effektivsten war das Schleppangeln. Was ich der Kinder wegen viel gemacht habe. Auf Zander habe ich dort nicht gefischt. Der See hat an der tiefsten Stelle ca.15m. An den Ufern meistens sehr flach. Rückblickend überwiegt aber eindeutig das positive.

Wunderbare Lage mit Abstrichen beim Haus
Positiv: - Lage direkt am See (traumhafter unverbauter See) mit Bootssteg und großem Steg zum Sitzen (sehr idyllisch) - Ruderboot vorhanden - nur wenige Nachbarn und damit sehr ruhig - große gepflegte Wiese, perfekt für Kinder (wenn der Mähroboter ausgeschaltet ist) - tolle Holzsauna und Außendusche (warm) mit Blick auf den See - mehere schöne (freie und überdachte) Sitzmöglichkeiten - Waschmaschine - kleines separates Haus vorn am See mit zweiter kleiner Küche und schönem Blick auf den See - viele Kühlschränke überall verteilt, falls benötigt (Kühlschrank auf der Veranda aber massiv verdreckt) - ausreichend Feuerholz (z.B. für die Sauna) - Heizung im Wohnzimmer heizt den Raum sehr schnell hoch - gute Parksituation (ein Auto direkt am Haus, Platz für weitere Autos nur wenige Meter entfernt) - sehr schöne direkte Umgebung (Wald) Negativ: - Haus mit einfacher, teils abgelebter Einrichtung - einige Dinge von Anfang an defekt (Herd ohne Griff zum Öffnen, Schränke ohne Griffe, abgebrochene Lampen, defekte Glühlampen, Rollos mit Löchern usw.) - sehr abgelebte Bettwäsche und Handtücher - kaum Möglichkeiten zum Verstauen von Taschen und persönlichen Gegenständen - teilweise unaufgeräumt, überall liegen Gegenstände (des Besitzers oder von vorherigen Gästen) herum (z.B. Werkzeug, Schrauben, leere Batterien, abgelaufene Süßigkeiten etc.) - wenig bis kein Handy-/Internet-Empfang im Haus (kein WLAN vorhanden) Fazit: Wer mit den oben genannten negativen Punkten leben oder sich damit arrangieren kann, findet hier ein Haus mit einem sehr schönen Grundstück in einer wirklich wunderbar erholsamen Kulisse.
