Great little cabin
This cabin was really small, but perfect for what we needed!! We would definitely stay here again. Loved that it had the screened in porch.

Super nice
Boyfriend and I came for Memorial Day weekend and really enjoyed our time. We didn’t use the boat ramp where we stayed because our boat wouldn’t have fit so we put in at Rod and Gun Club. The only thing we found was there no hot water in our cabin. Other than that we loved it!

1/5 Terrible

DO NOT STAY-HORRIBLE
Totally misrepresented. Tiny one room junky place. Screen door was so rusty it was falling apart. An old door knob had been removed and the hole stuffed with plastic bags. We were told to strip the bed before leaving. We did and found the mattress pad covered with urine stains. Filthy. It said there was a kitchenette, but it was a bathroom vanity and sink in the main room with a microwave and a small refrig off to one side. No counter space and the few dishes they had (3 soup bowls and 3 spoons and two forks) were dirty with crusted food. There was not enough hot water to take a shower. We had to keep turning it off and waiting for it to heat up again. We took maybe a 5 minute shower. There is so much furniture crowded into the room you can't move. There is a big wooden box built into the room at the end of the bed. We think that may have been where the water heater was located. It was covered in a tablecloth in an attempt to disguise it as furniture. The TV was mounted above the tiny, tiny bathroom and was not adjustable. You had to watch the one channel from right angles to the bed. The bathroom had no toilet paper holder and you had to stand up to reach around behind you to get it off the back of the toilet as there was no room to turn around. The shower head was so low you had to bend you knees to get wet. There were wooden patches on the bathroom door where holes were covered. We called the owner/caretaker and she barely spoke English. That would not necessarily be a problem except we could not get anything settled because we couldn't understand. When I told her about the stained mattress pad, she said, Oh that must be from the people before you. WHAT?!?! You knew and didn't wash the pad or replace it? ICKY! icky, icky. Do not stay here

Convenient for boaters
It was nice to have our own dock and plenty of room to park our Truck and boat trailer. The people in the little neighborhood are really nice. Most places here are owned by the people who stay here.

4 days of peaceful rest
Very nicely located across from the Everglades Park Headquarters. I enjoyed the screened in porch which extended the living space. The interior of the cabin is small but for 1 person it was okay. My personal opinion is that some of the bulky furniture could be replaced with lighter pieces which would give the sense of more space. Nancy, the owner, was so nice. I thought I had left a set of keys in the cabin and she was very sympathetic and said she would mail them to me at my home address.

Cozy
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. It was nice having the boat ramp right outside our door. Nice and quiet area. We will return. We love how laid back it is in Everglades City.
