At 2:30 am someone started knocking at our door at least 3 times. I woke up and when I opened the door, there was the bell boy bringing a suitcase that was not ours. After he noticed he got the wrong room, he apologized and left. It was almost impossible for us to get back to sleep and we felt tired all day long. It is unbelievable that a "5 star" hotel has this type of mistakes. Also, when checking out, we got a different rate than what was initially booked in Hotels.com, we were running late for our flight so we just paid and left. Will never stay at any of their hotels again. Between hotel staff and security, there were team members everywhere. The room was well appointed, and the WiFi was stable enough to have FaceTime audio calls that were not marred by technical problems. Higher bandwidth platforms with video were a little dicey, but still workable. The only aspect of the hotel that I would have liked to see improved is the physical plant. The hotel is showing its age a bit. One can see wear and tear with a bit more than a passing glance. Such items are not mission critical though. Did the condition of the physical lobby bar mean the staff couldn't serve drinks or food, not at all. However, if the hotel wishes to maintain its five star standing, a little attention to some of it structures would help. Evelyn at the front desk did an outstanding job and so did Michael with Room Service delivery. I felt very welcome from the moment I walked in. Because of a previous complication with a reservation due to Expedia’s interface, I was not sure how things would go.
