Just a 2 minute walk to the local pub, the Harbour Bar and the Quayside restaurant / takeaway where you can enjoy their award winning Fish and Chips. At the top of the steps (33 in total) there is a village shop for your last minute essentials and a post office. Aberdeen is a 25 minute drive to the north and Dundee a 40 minute drive to the south with many small fishing villages in between. Just meters from the harbor the property provides clean and comfortable accommodation. As you enter the property the hallway (right) leads to the living room which provides 2 large sofas and an armchair, there is a wall mounted TV with SKY and internet TV. The hall way (left) takes you to the kitchen / dining room which lends its self to a large dining room table and chairs suitable to sit up to 8 people. Again, there is a wall mounted TV with SKY and internet TV. The kitchen has a dishwasher. At the other end of the kitchen is the utility area, this lends its self to a washer/dryer, wine cooler, Nespresso coffee maker and microwave with additional cupboard space. There is a newly fitted downstairs family bathroom with a large bath, WC, sink and Shower which leads off of the utility space. On the first floor there is a large double aspect master bedroom, this room provides a king size bed, large wardrobe with full length mirror, a chest of 3 draws and 2 bedside cabinets. The second bedroom, again large in size provides 2 single beds, a chest of 3 draws and a bedside cabinet. There is a second newly fitted shower room and WC on the second floor. On the second floor there are a further 2 bedrooms, one to the right provides a king-size bed, wardrobe and bed side cabinets. One to the left, 2 single beds, wardrobe and bedside cabinet. We’ve been a party of 6 and this cottage is a great place and a good base for exploring the surrounding area. If you like fresh fish, this is the place to be. The house was perfect for 5 work colleagues for a weekend away. The house was immaculate, warm, the beds were so comfy and we loved the cosy living room and the large kitchen area with a long dining room table was great for gathering round for meals and playing games (which were provided)! No hair dryers though! The area is lovely for exploring the north east. We drove to Stonehaven which is not far and enjoyed one of the many cafes. The cottage is easily the prettiest on the harbour and surpassed our expectations as the pictures do not do it justice. So tastefully decorated, calming and fully equipped with everything you might need. The cafe, chip shop and restaurant are a mere hop, skip and jump from the front door, offering a warm welcome and good food. I’m just sorry we couldn’t stay a while longer… ##### Karen W. House is large and spacious. Everyone was able to find their own space if required. Large kitchen which accommodated the eight of us. Being the kitchen this is where we spent most of our time. House has everything you need and instructions are clear. Gourdon itself is great. The quayside restaurant I would recommend booking. The harbour bar is a fantastic pub. It can get very busy though so if your not first your last! Tables can go quickly inside but plenty seating outside. Short walk along the coast to inverbervie. Lovely setting just a few steps to a pretty harbour. Great communication with the owner to be able to check in very easily and settle straight into our holiday. The area has so much on it's doorstep but we ran out of time so we will definitely return for another break. The property itself has everything you could need for our 2 families and was very well equipped to help us feel comfortable. Lovely little gem of a place and I would highly recommend. ##### Irene L. This property was fabulous....lovely dinning kitchen which was so spacious and accommodated 8 people easily. Loved the proportions of the 4 bedrooms and the 2 bathrooms and for those that wanted to retire from the spacious kitchen there was a lovely wee snug living room. The proximity to the harbour was another plus point to this property, there is something very magical about being beside the sea. Great location for touring the surrounding area.
