An "ok" experience.
This place was just ok. You can tell that they tried to give a facelift to an older hotel. Spacious room with a loveseat couch. Hardwood floors were a nice touch. The walls had some scuffs that they touched up with paint that didn't really blend well. The bed was a little hard for our liking, but everybody has their preference. Was odd that the tv was a decent size flatscreen but no HD programming was available. The hot tub was not exactly hot, but we were told by another guest that it was hotter the day before and it sprinkled at night. Maybe it wasn't covered, causing the tempt to drop. The room was a bit pricey for the accommodations, but it is Monterey so you're gonna pay extra for that no matter where you stay.
