This is not 4* and not by a long stretch. We received an upgrade to a suite, which was a kind gesture for our wedding anniversary, but the reality was that was where the hospitality ended.
The hotel is worn out. The reception is tired and the check in process is underwhelming. Breakfast is absolutely DIRE! We are in Italy! Amazing produce- how can this be so bad?!
The suite was nice but woefully under equipped, we had to ask for an iron and ironing board, no glasses or a bottle opener, only one english speaking TV channel. The air conditioning does not work and there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling.
The pool area is nice but there is none of the fabulous view of the hills that the town is known for. The sunbeds are worn out. We had to ask three times for pool waitress service as there is no accessible bar area.
I would never recommend this hotel, they have zero customer service and the place is in dire need of a complete makeover from top to bottom not just some modern rooms in an extension across the road.
The little village is cute. Don't try the fish restaurant, it's vile. Il Cucco is fabulous.
