Enjoying total tranquility but not far removed from Montcuq, Montaigu de Quercy & Tournon d’Agenais (all <15 minutes away), staying here is all about relaxation in whatever form that takes: lounging in a hammock, hitting the tennis court or getting out and about, exploring the local area by foot, on bikes or on the river. • 12m heated pool • Tennis court • Table tennis • Pool table • Cinema room • Outdoor dining • Large grounds to explore • Cycle storage Well-behaved pets (of any kind) are welcome (though please ask them to be respectful of our cat! 🙏). The accommodation comprises a two-bedroom maisonette on the ground floor featuring a King-size master bedroom and a twin bedroom (with the option to take 1 or 2 extra beds). There is a full bathroom and a large open living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas plus stable door onto a private outdoor dining terrace. Upstairs, an additional king-size bedroom with shower room may be available on request (please enquire). Practical stuff: the property is about 75 minutes from Toulouse airport (or 60 minutes from Bergerac). There’s no boulangerie within walking distance but Montcuq and Montaigu are good sized towns with supermarkets and plenty of restaurants, markets and festivals. They both also have excellent, family-friendly swimming lakes with safe, sandy beaches. The area is famous for wine - Malbec in particular - with most vineyards open for tastings. Please note the following: 1) The climate is generally excellent but can be very hot in summer. The thick stone walls are good at keeping the heat out but be aware there is no air conditioning. 2) the adjacent farmhouse may be occupied by the owners. If so, we’ll be available if you want to ask us anything - top tips for restaurants, wine tasting and wild swimming spots, for example - and we reserve the right to use any of the facilities but we’ll do our best not to disturb your serious relaxation! Er is een complete badkamer en een grote open leefruimte met keuken, eet- en zithoeken plus stabiele deur naar een privé-eetkamerterras. Boven is op verzoek een extra kingsize slaapkamer met doucheruimte beschikbaar (vraag alstublieft). Praktische dingen: het pand ligt op ongeveer 75 minuten van de luchthaven van Toulouse (of 60 minuten van Bergerac). Er is geen boulangerie op loopafstand, maar Montcuq en Montaigu zijn grote steden met supermarkten en veel restaurants, markten en festivals. Ze hebben allebei ook uitstekende, gezinsvriendelijke zwemmeren met veilige zandstranden. Het gebied is beroemd om wijn - Malbec in het bijzonder - met de meeste wijngaarden die open zijn voor proeverijen.
