5/5 Excellent

A very enjoyable stay in a beautiful house. We did not want to come home. We loved the stables tour and watching the horses from our windows. Our hosts were brilliant and set up a Christmas tree for us. Loved everything about it. Thank you.
Stayed 7 nights in Dec 2021

5/5 Excellent

Beautiful surroundings, comfortable well-equipped property, amazing experience seeing racehorses next door with such friendly folk showing us around - owners of the racehorse stables and their family. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you.

Adams Family - Summer 2021
We had an amazing week staying at this property, the building is simply stunning and recently renovated. Philip and Sarah were great hosts and living next door were always on hand if required, as was Tomato Face the tortoise and Archie the dog who both stole our hearts. There is mention in the description and reviews of this property being on the site of a race horse stables but this massively underplays the set up at the stables, Sarah and Philip gave us a fascinating tour of the stables and explained how everything works, being around the horses and watching them train was a real bonus of the holiday yet did not intrude on our break and privacy in anyway. Notable places to eat are Reeves in Dunster which is just a few minutes drive away and Woods restaurant. A great place to stay and highly recommended.

5/5 Excellent

Great stay in amazing house
We stayed as 2 family groups with young children. The house is beautiful, very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed a tour of the racing stables, and got to watch the horses go to the gallops from the bedroom window. Lots of things to do nearby and great places to eat. The hosts are very welcoming which made the stay extra special.

5/5 Excellent

Great place for a family to chill and explore the local area.
We were lucky to be the 1st to stay in the property - which is part of a Manor house on a racing stable. Ask the owners about the history of the house and there is a great tale to hear. Watching the horses exercise in the morning was fascinating and there are some nice walks with great views over the local countryside- you can see Wales across the water on a clear day. It is a working stable so you need to respect that but it was great to get a tour and learn more about these powerful animals and about some of their individualality. There are some lovlely places to visit nearby in Dunster and other villages. There are a number of nice restaurants not too far that are small so you need to book well in advance. Overall we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay in a great property with lovely hosts and would go again.
