Nice unit/resort , lots of amenities but not luxury
Stayed here for the month of February 2020. This review includes lots of info on tours/restaurants etc at end. Overall a lovely condo, well equipped but not luxury as advertised. Resort is hilly and the location is furthest from main area so being able to walk, unless you want to drive everywhere, is required. The resort train is infrequent in February. Lots of room in the unit with all the amenities. Beautiful views of the mountains and the sea. Grounds on the resort are well maintained. A second set of keys would be useful. Unit needs some painting. Hot tub is a good size but is not hot. Asked and were told it cant be any hotter because of regulations. The heated pool was hotter. Shame to pay 75 euros for a lukewarm tub. Staff at Rafleys was responsive except upon check-in. We had them arrange a pick up from the Malaga airport so they knew what time we were arriving however upon arrival in the unit there was no support from Rafleys for questions etc and when we finally did get ahold of them told us we should have told them when we were arriving. Other than that any questions we had were promptly answered. CLC resort staff at reception were helpful. Beach is a 15 minute walk from unit-not 5. Overall would stay in unit again. Tours/travel info: We did not rent a car and walked, took public transport and a few taxi with great success. The bus and train station in Fuengirola are across the street from one another. #220 bus runs along the main route (A-7) at bottom of resort. Great service between Fuengirola and Marbella. 5 km walk to the bus/train station in Fuengirola from unit. 35 minute train ride from Fuengirola train station to Malaga airport. Taxi from train in Fuengirola to unit is approx 15 euros. All public transport is very reasonably priced. Coach Bus from Fuengirola station to Rhonda is 18 euros return. CLC reception runs a trip on Friday’s to Mijas Pueblo for 7 euros return. Epic Tours (Gina) located inside the Fuengirola bus station arranged day trips to Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla and Gibraltar. All good day trips and picked us up at the bottom of the resort along the A-7. Restaurants: The El Tajo on the resort at reception was very good food. Zacharys is a sport bar with typical menu. Otherwise tons of choice along the boardwalk in Fuengirola Groceries: Two options on the resort with limited but pretty good choice The large grocery store, inside big mall, is a 30 minute walk from unit. NO direct bus.
