Quite a grim place really, no wonder it's up for sale, it had that unloved air about it. Room was pleasant enough but general ambience was zilch. Other clientele loud workmen who played constant darts, restaurant awful with very basic choices of food and not cheap. Out of the way so hard to find a substitute eatery easily. Breakfast was completely self serve with not a member of staff to be seen. Hope the new owners do better-there is potential for for a nice hotel
Can not fault the staff and their help in booking us in. Food is great. But i think the matresses is from when this was still a mill. After driving for 7 hours, due to traffic, you want to have a good night sleep. I was beter off sleeping on the floor on Saturday night.
We had some guest who clearly had to much to drink and was loaud in the bar, would have loved it if they were told to calm down or just quiet as others were trying to sleep.
We did not stay the full trip and left as myself could not sleep on our bed and my wife also had enough. When your 9 year old says the bed is hurting him then you start thi king. But when your 2 year old cant sleep and dont want to go to bed, then its a clear sign that this is not the best matresses
