Basic but fine.

Hotel was quite old inside but adequate, buffet breakfast and dinner perfect for cycling, but no porridge! Was very busy at times. Wifi in rooms was poor with signal often cutting out, and no shower gel/shampoo provided daily. No kettle in room or tea/coffee facilities

loved this hotel, we went half board asd it was fantastic. loads of choice for breakfast and all you can eat, same for dinner. room was great and clean and up to date. only 2 complaints - bed was very uncomfortable, I woke every morning after a horrible night's sleep with a broken back and there was no kettle. everything else was spot on.

Noisy, tired and old

Posted 19-Aug-2015
Pros: very little
Cons: Refurbish the whole thing
Location: Port D'alcudia is horrible, cheap and nasty. Don't do anything in Port D'Alcudia, get on the bus and go to Alcudia - much nicer
If you are into loud music banging away until midnight everynight then here is the place to stay. Rooms are very tired and old and need a major update especially the bathrooms which really are quite bad.

Great location just hotel is extremely basic.

The hotel itself was only a stones throw from the beach and had plenty of shops and restaurants very close to it. just don't be fooled this isn't a small hotel we couldn't get anywhere near the pool as they were all taken up by 9am! The cleanliness was good overall but there was Mosquitos in our bathroom when we arrived and we was bitten a lot on the first night until we bought some spray to oust them. The sheets and towels were changed daily which was good. We only had breakfast but he food was very much a continental kind of breakfast. There was a lot of German guests but we was made to feel welcome. The TV only had 1 English Channel which is a minor gribe and there was no kettle provided also the air conditioning wasn't up to much hardly made it cooler at all and the instructions on how to use it were all in German we figured it out after the first night. Overall this isn't the best hotel around but benefits from its location

Pros: Consistently good staff
Cons: Not much really
Location: It is centrally located in the Port of Alcudia with restaurants nearby and close to the beach
This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel once before in the high season and now in the low season. They were undergoing extensive renovation work to their reception area but a temporary reception had been set up and was working well . the staff and the rooms are excellent

Staying at Alcudia Gardens for Ironman Mallorca

Posted 01-Oct-2014 on Hotels
I stay here for Ironman Mallorca and the apartments are ideally located right next to Transition. Having Bikes in your rooms and going in and out no problems. Rooms were cleaned daily and accommodation was comfortable ideal for athletes. I didn't eat in the hotel made my breakfast (porridge) in my apartment which has a small kitchen but no Kettle or Mugs. Good for swimming takes 5mins to reach the swim start !

Excellent for coeliacs

Posted 04-Aug-2014
Pros: The gluten free food options were fantastic with lovely fresh gluten free baguettes for breakfast. The swimming pools were really nice.
Cons: Too many mosquitoes in the dining hall. We found on one night the evening entertainment was totally unsuitable for children - a real shame!
Location: Very close to lovely beach and nice shops. Close to Hidropark (great water slide park for younger children)
Altogether a nice hotel. Would definitely go there again.

Tired, basic, dirty hotel

Posted 16-Jun-2014
Pros: Location though I thought it was on the beach, thankfully it was less than 5 minutes. Also close to restaurants and the Marina area.
Cons: Everything, Tired rooms, electrical appliances dodgy, decor dreadful, old bedding,,
Location: Close to beach, marina, bus or train ride to Old Alcudia and water park
Within minutes of walking into the room it was clear that the airconditioning didn't work, the aerial was taped to the wall, it smelt of smoke even though it was a non smoking room ( the blankets reeked) and it was dirty. The handyman came promptly and was very helpful but he taped the aerial again and after starting the aircon showed us that there was a connection which had to be made by the patio doors, this was rickety and unreliable. There was a broom and dustpan in the room which we went round the edges of the floor with and a dead insect sat on a bathroom shelf all week. They don't even have cleaners in twice a week! We had no hand towels the day before no cleaning so I requested them and new bath towels too. The buffet food was reasonable. The best thing for us was the closeness to the beach as the pools were small and it was very crowded around it. There was no reasonable adult entertainment, plenty for under 5's,

Great location!

Posted 13-May-2014 on Hotels
We stayed here for IRONMAN 70.3 & it was perfect location, less than 3 minutes walk to the event site on the beach & transition. Great. Staff perhaps could have been friendlier, but overall good.
