Pros:

Family Room

Posted 28-Jun-2016
Great room for families. Location is great and the family room has plenty of size to fit a family of 5. Breakfast at the hotel was great too. Even had a balcony on to Gran Via.

Fairly central hotel

Posted 05-Jun-2016
Pros: Fairly central and near the metro. Air conditioning worked and breakfast was good.
Cons: Sound proofing of the front facing rooms. Brighten up the reception. Provide tea and coffee in all rooms. More careful housekeeping.
Location: Gran Via has all the major stores. If you are after theatre then you are in the right place. Close to the Royal Palace can walk to most tourist sites.
The hotel is located towards the west end of Gran Via near to the Plaza Espana metro. Gran Via is full off theatres and shops. Nearby tourist attractions include the Royal Palace and Temple Debod. In general the hotel interior did not feel like a 4 star hotel. The reception is quite small and has no attractive features. There are two lifts and waiting times are acceptable considering it has eleven floors. We paid extra for a city view room and breakfast included. We expressly asked for a quiet room away from the lift. But ironically got neither. The view is nothing great and not worth the extra, especially if you are a light sleeper you will suffer from the traffic noise what ever floor you get. Better to opt for a room located to the rear. The breakfast is good although I have had much better in other 4 star hotels. The rooms are reasonably clean but often house keeping would miss things. Not replacing tissues in the bathroom not taking away cups for cleaning. The black out curtains were torn and stuck together with tape. Not 4 star standard. The bed was large and comfortable. We had security problems with the room originally allocated to us but after presenting the problem to reception 3 times we were eventually provided with a better alternative.

Fantastic hotel with a great location!

Wonderful hotel right in what felt like the middle of Madrid. Great location to all the historical tourist attractions and food experiences; I do not think there was a walk that was longer than 20 minutes (apart from El Retiro). Strongly recommended!

excellent emplacement

Posted 07-May-2016
Pros: Tout
Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une chambre qui donnait sur l'arrière, donc pas de bruit. La chambre était magnifique, très grande, un lit de plus de 2mètres. Petit déjeuner extra. Bref, que du bonheur!
