This is a budget priced hotel.

Posted 28-Sep-2015
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Suspended ceilings should be replaced. Landscaping should utilize low maintenance ground covers, shrubs. Chipped tubs reglazed. Brighter décor.
Location: It is a small town, what can I say?
This is a budget priced hotel. With that said, the room was clean and quiet. The bed was not the best but comfortable enough. Breakfast served only to 9:00am and has a limited selection. This is what one can expect for a low cost hotel.

Nice clean hotel...however I am a coffee drinker and while they had a coffee maker, there was no pot or cups to go with it. Also, the pillows wereally not very big or comfortable. Other than that everything was great

There are Better Choices Elsewhere

Posted 29-Jul-2015
Pros: It kept me from having to camp out in a South Dakota thunderstorm.
Cons: Value for the price. Breakfast Clean the in-room coffee makers regularly (and offer Splenda or Equal sweetener for coffee Staff wasn't very helpful
Location: Not far from Mitchell (home of the Corn Palace).
I paid too much and got too little for this sad little hotel stay. Now, I have stayed at discount hotels and motels before, even on this same trip, so I am not comparing this place to a 5-star hotel. Nevertheless, I was unhappy about this hotel stay. Nothing was truly awful or horrible, yet nothing was better than adequate. Some aspect of the hotel were quite disappointing. Staff was neither rude nor truly helpful. No word at check-in as to where the room was located or where to park. Room was relatively clean, as was the bath., although dated. The big exception was the in-room coffee maker, which had a layer of gunk & debris inside that I chose to avoid rather than attempt to clean. The AC worked, but it took a while to cool the room and it was loud. The breakfast was lousy. Hardly any choices (I was traveling with my 3 kids, so choices are important). Room was way too warm and could've used a good sweeping. Tables weren't clean. No staff in sight. It appeared that someone ran to the local mini-mart, grabbed what they could get for 20 bucks, threw it in the breakfast room and disappeared. The coffee was OK.

Nice, friendly hotel

Posted 22-Jul-2015
Pros: I liked how there were no "surprises" once we arrived. Everything was as advertised.
Cons: Everything was perfect!
Location: We didn't have much time to do any activities, but there are numerous gas stations and food establishments nearby.
Although it feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, the hotel itself doesn't have that feeling.

Great location

The location was great for what we wanted to see during the trip. The hotel needs more help with housekeeper. They did not give us the right amount of towels each day. They need to improve their breakfast items.
