I stayed here with my 14 year old son. The owners were lovely n friendly, breakfast very tasty and adapted to our requirements. We had the twin room, it states suitable for children, I wouldn’t agree as room not suitable for child when you have to leave the room to go to the toilet or for adult for privacy.
‘Private facilities’ not very private on the stairs! Even had a rickety sliding door with a small bolt lock.
Provided dressing gown in wardrobe, now I know why, as needed dressing gown to go to the toilet??🙄
Twin room with a sink, it was clean but very dated.
Shower/toilet very tiny, could touch door and shower whilst sitting on the loo. It had a small cloakroom sink, there was a small gap between sink n shower which I couldn’t fit through so had no shower. When mentioned to the lady, she demonstrated to go backwards to fit in (she was smaller than me, I’m a size 16!)
Breakfast in morn, we was told 9.00 to accommodate social distancing which was fine but then upon walking down to basement where breakfast is held, they shouted up, we’re not ready for you and we were made to wait longer as previous people still in there (called up stairs as we were approaching, maybe come and tell us)!
Quilt heavy and uncomfortable.
Extra pillow had no cover on it
Doubt we will go back, unless we had a different room as I was shown other rooms with en-suite and they were nice, although still dated.
