Sheraton to the rescue...... or so I thought.
The hotel itself was nice and the staff that checked me in was nice. The woman who I spoke to in the morning when I was checking out was curt. The hotel is right on the LIE service road and the rooms are anything but sound proof. You an hear EVERY truck on the expressway all hours of the night. Then, at 12:30 AM, someone decided they wanted to have a little "party" outside of the hotel entrance. The music was blasting and they were screaming. If I heard that in my room on the 2nd floor, then they DEFINITELY heard it outside of the main entrance, because I was right above them. It went on for over half an hour before it finally stopped. When I booked the hotel, it said it came with breakfast. So, I go downstairs in the morning to get breakfast and the woman in the "cafe" stops me and asks me for my room number. She says "oh you're not on my list", breakfast is not free. So, she double checks with the front desk and the woman rudely tells me, because I booked through Expedia, breakfast is not included...... I paid $260 for ONE night through Expedia, and breakfast was not included??!! Seriously?! For that kind of money for one night, for an average hotel on the expressway, more than just breakfast should be included. So, needless to say, it was no where NEAR worth that kind of money and I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone, even in a pinch like I was, nor would I stay there again.
