The Library, Trafalgar Square, London

Posted 11-May-2016
Pros: The free drinks upon arrival; the eclectic styling throughout; the lovely room
Cons: The Continental Breakfast was fairly 'minimalist'.
The Library is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of London. I stayed there while attending a conference on The Strand. It is (of course) set in a refurbished library, with quirky, eclectic styling and beautiful old-fashioned (but very comfortable) rooms.

Cons: Better coffee for breakfast.
We needed an overnight stay in central London and wanted somewhere reasonably quiet and at reasonable cost. This hotel was a pleasant surprise and ideal for our stay.

Great Hotel, Great Location

Posted 09-Feb-2016 on Hotels
Great location a couple blocks from the Leicester Station Tube stop and on the main strip by several theaters, a Starbucks, and Chipotle. Staff was very friendly and provided me with a complimentary drink voucher on check-in. The décor of the hotel was very unique with a spacious lounge/bar and really nice rooms. Only improvement would be to expand on the options offered at breakfast.

Hidden gem

Posted 03-Feb-2016 on Hotels
Great service - really friendly and efficient. Amazing venue with a fantastic bar that's almost hidden away. Room was eccentric and intriguing, but very small! There was nowhere to hang the few clothes for our one night visit. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

Weekend spoilt

Posted 22-Jan-2016 on Hotels
We were very disappointed with our stay. The hotel's main areas were being redecorated that weekend and therefore the bar, lounge area and restaurant were out of bounds. We were placed in a cold bar area on Sunday morning for breakfast which we ate while uncomfortably perched on bar stools. We would not have booked this hotel if we had been informed of the work going on. On the positive side, the room was very comfortable and the staff as helpful as they could be in the circumstances. I have written to the management and as yet had no reply.
