While we loved the location, the construction across the street was nonstop. The door frame to our apartment had mold and rot. There were mouse traps all over the building. And it lacked basic amenities like napkins and paper towel. The communication was not forthright in fixing the machine and I had to after day 4 ask 3 times for fresh towels. The website was incorrect about the air con and we had to leave the windows open for air which meant the noise outside was loud. And DO NOT follow the link! I was told via app that 24 hours ahead we would receive an email with codes to get in. I received an email with directions that gave a link with google directions. Which we followed. It took us to another Cove Hotel! 30 min away after we had been traveling all night from the US. The Cove hotel said sorry and sent us on our way, without assistance. When we finally arrived, there was no email with information. I found a phone number in the Hotels app. And called. They sent a text “What’s App” without any notification. How am I suppose to know that app was going to be used!? We met another renter in the building and the same thing happened and they went to the same Cove location as well. Their keys were waiting at a third location! Like jack hammers all day until 7pm. The apartment was beautiful and very secure. The shower had issues, leaking all over the floor. They gave me two bath towels and one was dedicated to wiping up the shower mess. Had a laundry machine but i could not figure out the "dry" function so i used the rack in the closet. Was pretty hot in london the days i was there. Made the apt very warm. Only a winter comforter, no top sheet. So fan placed at the window all day, all windows open, trying to keep it cool in there. It got very cold overnight, as low as 15 degrees in our room. We were travelling with a baby and it was too cold for them to sleep in the cot which meant we had to have him in the bed with us and co-sleeping carries safety risks for young babies so this was not ideal. Although the hosts eventually offered to send a security person to look at the heating, it was late evening by then, i was out with some friends, and my mum did not want a stranger coming into the apartment when she was alone with the baby at night time. Given it is winter time the hosts really should have made sure the heating was working properly before our check in time. Also, the door to the washing machine is half fallen off- it could be a safety risk to a baby if it fell off when they were crawling about. The plug in the ensuite sink does not work and overall the apartment is not well maintained. At no point either at the time of booking many months ago, or in the ‘welcome’ messages last week, were we advised about the huge construction site, literally 20ft from the property. The construction site has been up and running for over a year so there are no excuses for not notifying potential guests. Work started on the construction site before 7am every morning, including Saturday and Sunday, and it was deafening. This should have been flagged at the time of booking or at least last week, with the check in details were sent. We also paid an extra fee for an early check in however on arrival the apartment had not been cleaned or the beds made up for new guests. Whilst the early check in fee was refunded, having to leave and return two hours later was inconvenient. There is, however, no one on site to manage it and I learnt that this situation can cause big problems. Unluckily, in the unit next door a big birthday party (of 30 people?) was being held. Some were even shouting into the microphone. I called the office at 2am and a security team was to be dispatched. However they did not arrive after an hour so I called again but got an answering machine. This continued five times. Eventually, the call went through again and it was already 4am when the security team arrived. The reason I rate them this low is that they insist their action was “prompt” and don't see it as a problem. Myös vanhan talon narisevat puulattiat aiheuttivat meluhaittaa yläkerrasta tähän keskikerroksen asuntoon. Muutoin pidimme asunnosta hyvin paljon: se on mainiolla sijainnilla muutaman minuutin kävelymatkan päässä useista musikaaliteattereista, aamiaispaikoista, oopperatalosta ym. Hyvä kaksinkertainen lukko ovessa ja turvaketju sisällä, taloyhtiön alaovi aina lukossa - oli turvallinen majoituspaikka. Siistit ja viihtyisät kylpyhuonetilat (2 wc), ihanat lakanat, hyvin kaappitilaa.
