We enjoyed our short stay at the Cheesewring Hotel on Bodmin Moor. Our room was comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome in the busy bar /restaurant in the evenings. Its in an exceptionally beautiful location on the highest part of the moor with interesting walks all around and it was a novel way to wake up in the misty mornings to see the sheep and horses from the moor wandering freely past our window. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Very good hotel B&B with rooms above a popular pub & restaurant. Reasonable size room, clean and tidy with shower bathroom etc.
The plumbing in our room featured a macerator unit which was effective but starts and stops and thus is slightly noisy when running water using the toilet etc.
The staff and owners are very friendly and cooked English breakfast is very good. We also had a meal in the restaurant and again this was good quality food with excellent service despite the restaurant hosting a large group at the same time. Overal excellent value for money in a slightly remote location by the moor but close (walking distance) to popular landmarks and tea rooms. The pup is based in the village of Minions so that's worth something to tell the kids about.
