This is the perfect place to stay, since you will be within walking distance from all the main attractions and places to visit in Lisbon downtown such as Rossio, Chiado, Bairro Alto, Principe Real, Avenida da Liberdade, the City Castle and its picturesque neighborhood called Alfama. The 100 square meters apartment located on the 5th floor of a building without elevator, features 3 bedrooms, one living and dining room, two bathrooms, an equipped kitchen, and plenty of sunlight. Two of the bedrooms also have a French balcony with a fantastic view of the city castle. They provide fans but it does get hot since it is on the top floor. Speaking of...the walk up is not for the faint of heart. It is a hike to get to the place. Up 5 flights. The bad--this is a 5 story WALK UP. No elevator. I cannot stress how difficult it is to get a suitcase in and out of this building. There is NO AIR CONDITIONING. It was over 90 degrees, so we had to open the windows to survive the night. It made it barely livable. The lively neighborhood was loud until about 1 AM.
