We loved The Concierge! The service was excellent, the attention to detail in all aspects of the establishment and the connection with local community makes this hotel a definite winner

Choose the Consierge if you visit Durban!

The room was really, really nice and stylish. It had an luxurious feel to it without being pricy! The staff was super friendly and helpful with everything! The breakfast was better than what many hotels have to offer. No sloppy buffet but a la carte that suited us well! The freedom cafè's menu had a lot to offer and all what we tried was really good. The drinks were to die for!

Petit hotel tendance à Durban

Posted 01-Dec-2015 on Hotels

Comfy Digs

Pros: The staff and relax/laid-back atmosphere. Also liked the dog theme, very cute as well as meeting their puppy, Lila.
Cons: Wifi could be much more consistent.
Location: Trendy restaurants, the beach and the Sunday flea market are within 30-45 minute walk.
We were greeted warmly upon check-in by Robin, the General Manager. He took the time to show us to our room and explained the amenities within. We found our stay to be quite comfy. The room and bathroom were quite spacious however if you are a light sleeper, I would recommend you to request a room that doesn't overlook the parking lot as it can get quite noisy in the mornings as their restaurant is quite popular. Our stay included breakfast which is very satisfying both in quantity and quality. My only complaint is that the wifi was very spotty. Also, if you want to stay in the tourist area, this hotel is not for you.

the Concierge, Durban

Staff and total experience most enjoyable. A shame the location is not conducive to long getting-to-know-the-area walks.

LOVED this place. As others said, it's a little hard to find--tucked away in a residential neighborhood but the place was very memorable--and a bit hipster. Using an Uber makes finding this place much easier though. The rooms were clean and the hotel was quaint and charming. The little touches like decals in the shower and having a deck with plants really made this place stand out. Further, breakfast was awesome!
