Good location

Posted 12-Jul-2016
The location of the hotel is very good. Many famous restaurant is close to the hotel. And u can eat whenever what time u go down to the street. And the hotel room is clean and the air conditioner is comfortable. However, the wifi of the room sucks. It is such slow and hard to connect.

Nice Budget Hotel in Chinatown

Posted 25-May-2016
Pros: The price is affordable, the strategic location, and a nice room
Location: culinary experience, shopping experience, sight seeings
This budget hotel located exactly at the heart of Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur, and also easily accessible from the Merdeka Square and surroundings. Lots of foods in front of the Hotel day and night, and the hotel itself is really interesting. They have 2 main doors, where 1 directly connected to the cafe that open for the public, while the other one connected to the receptionist. We stayed at the 4th floor and we have to go through 2 elevators before we reached our floor, our guess is it's the old and the new establishment, but along the way, you can see the unique structure (and of course colorful walls) of the hotel :) The room is spacious and very clean, as well as the bathroom, though the inside bathroom door, you need to be careful when sliding it, because it slides so fast and can hurt your fingers pretty bad if you put them in the wrong position when you're sliding it (yeah, experienced it by myself :p) they have warm water, shampoo and soaps as well, and TV :) Ours didn't have any window, but they have curtains on the wall, and it kinda' make the room looks better instead of plain wall :) Overall a nice budget hotel to stay :)

A good bargain but not satisfactory

Posted 15-May-2016
Pros: At the time of booking this was the best rate at a central location within walking distance of the train station.
Cons: Cleanliness. Allocation of room in quiet wing of the hotel to those like me who are sensitive to noise!
Location: China town.
The swiss Inn is a great bargain for backpackers or for those looking for a cheap hotel. I stayed a whole month and maybe that was my mistake. Most of the staff were great & upon check in they gave me a room upgrade which was highly appreciated. The Chinese lady was particularly helpful and kind - I thank you. However, cleanliness was not good. I don't like to complain and I am always polite so I did not make a fuss during my stay. But one of the staff (Lady with a headscarf) at breakfast was very rude to me and persisted in her rudeness whenever she was present whilst I was having breakfast (not often). Housekeeping barely cleaned my room - they simply replenished my toiletries water/coffee and towels. I would clean my room everyday before housekeeping came in because I could not be bothered to complain or get upset. For a whole month's stay I expect a hoover and a mop or otherwise thorough cleaning every week not just a tough-n-go service. The area is also very noisy. I would not be able to sleep till 3 am almost every night because of the china town stalls nearby and after closing cleaning that goes on late into the night. And its back noisy again by 10am. I am a light sleeper but I have stayed in many hotels ( I am currently in a hotel in the UAE as I write this) and I know I am being fair when I say that this hotel is in a very noisy and dirty vicinity. I am writing this review because I take time to read reviews and I want other customers to have a fair warning.

Wonderful stay

Great location close to transport. We had bad experience with the taxi so we prefer public transport it's easy, cheap and very close. Hotel back exit direct to petaling street. Breakfast was awesome. Hotel staff are very kind and helpful. They allow us to check in at 10:00 am. Very easy and quick check in and check out. We booked from the Expedia. From airport we took bus direct to hotel, it cost 14 MYR very cheap. overall great experience. Definitely will stay again.

Just one subway station from KL Sentral and a few minutes walk from subway station. We had a deluxe room facing Pedaling Street on the 4th floor. It was quiet but the air-conditioning needed to be upgraded (so is the hotel restaurant). The room temperature reminds around 26 degree all day long...somehow the room gets very hot in the morning. Breakfast is just ok.

pleasant place to stay

We spent a week at the Swiss Inn . It's in the heart of China Town with all that has to offer. Walking distance to public transport. The room was good, clean and all you could expect . We thought it was value for the money. I would stay at this hotel if we visit the city again.
