Beachfront holiday home with kitchen and balcony or patio
Lovely cliffside holiday home remarkable for its unique views sweeping from Agatha Christie's Burgh Island, across Bantham beach and up the Avon estuary (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOw7CNbyQYU&feature=youtu.be). This is a peaceful beauty spot far from passing traffic where you can while away your stay watching the sea change hue and surfers chancing the waves. Or you could be inspired and join them!

Sharpland Crest is a recently renovated 1920s property. It is built on a single level and is semi-detached.

There are three bedrooms. The main has a super king-size bed. This room opens onto the galley through patio doors to sea views beyond. The second bedroom has a standard double divan and an en suite toilet. A patio door in this room opens out to the garden and sea views. The third room is situated to the rear of the property and has an adult single divan and a bunk bed.

There is a family bathroom with an electric shower unit over the bath. The kitchen is equipped with a freestanding oven and hob, washing machine and microwave. The dining area nestles between the kitchen and living area. There is WIFI internet and TV with smart box.

The living area is glazed with full sea views. In the winter months, you can light the wood burner or simply turn on the electric heating (storage heaters). Through the patio doors, you will find a paved terrace, barbeque area, teak garden ware, and a delightful, spacious garden that borders the cliff.

The garden is tended with a sympathetic eye to insects and birds that frequently drop by: there are orchids in the summer months, miner bees in the sandbank and claret-red Valerian. The garden is protected on the cliffside with a meter-high fence.

Off-road parking is to the rear of the property on a long driveway that would fit multiple vehicles.

Bigbury beach is a 2-minute stroll down the grassy coastal path dotted with rabbit warrens and poppies.

We have a strict NO DOG policy. Guests who bring dogs will be charged a £100 cleaning fee to be taken from the deposit.

For people with ALLERGIES, we cannot guarantee a hair-free property. Those with dog allergies should not book with us.

As the property dates to the 1920s and is situated in an open location, please do not expect a modern house feel. Many guests appreciate the unique character of the house. However, be aware there will be insects that come in and some days the sea spray smears the windows (the next rain shower will clean them again).

Bookings are made with a full deposit of £200 pounds for damages which will be refunded within 7 days of the leave date. Our refund policy is a full refund for cancellations up to two weeks before arrival, 50% refund under two weeks before, and no refund for cancellations less than 7 days before.

Outstanding view
As the title says the view from the property made the holiday for us, helped by an unbelievable very hot and sunny week! We enjoyed our stay. The property worked perfectly well for us and it fulfilled all our needs without, as a previous comment saying a wow factor.

Beautiful location
A bungalow in a stunning location in top of the cliff with views across Bantham Beach and Bigbury / Burgh Island. We spent most days taking our paddle boards down to Bigbury beach - a 4-5 minute walk from the property. Then having a BBQ on the patio in the evening. The bungalow is well catered for with cooker/microwave/fridge-freezer/washing machine. Comms with the owner was very quick/easy via the VRBO app. A great base for a beach holiday!
