Quaint but cramped
The room was just a bit too samll for comfort and you could hear every movement, cough, conversation the people next door were doing/having.

Lovely place with an amazing view out towards the sheep farms and hills of the Lake District. There are only 9 rooms in the lodge which gives it a very cozy feel. Guests and staff frequently mingle in the conservatory. Exceptionally good food prepared by a single chef who came out to see how we were enjoying it, and to talk to us when another staff member mentioned we were going to the Taste of Cumbria food festival in Ulverston. Large, clean rooms (though with tricky old-style locks), beautiful bathrooms, and on and on. I would absolutely stay here again. The only downside I could find is that sound separation between the rooms is fairly poor; my neighbor for the first two nights snored, and I could hear it pretty clearly.
