Once only

Posted 30-Aug-2015
Good stopover for the ferry. Enthusiastic hotelier. Fine for a once only stopover. But would not stay there again.

Pleasant stay

Posted 28-Aug-2015
Location: About a 20 min walk to central Dover, but very close to the Dover train station. It took me about an hour to walk to the start of the White Cliff walk
Smooth check-in and check out. Friendly and helpful. Very close to the train station. Clean and tidy.

Very nice stop before catching the ferry.

Posted 26-Aug-2015
Pros: Friendly staff 5 minutes from the ferry port Whole building well decorated
Cons: The room could have used a bit more light.
Location: Near the ferry port and a short walk from the sea front. Guesthouse was lovely, but a lot of buildings further down the road looked a bit run down
The best welcome ever received after arriving at a guesthouse! The owners were fun and friendly and really brightened my day after a long drive. The room was a good size for a short stay and nicely decorated. The whole guesthouse looked very clean and stylish. Free parking outside too.

One night stay before Dover/Calais ferry crossing

Posted 23-Aug-2015
Pros: Comfortable night's sleep. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. .
Cons: No complaints.
Location: Not sure I would want to be walking around the area late at night.
Convenient location for train station and ferry, although would be too far to walk to ferry if you were a foot passenger.

Sometimes staff not available

Posted 18-Aug-2015
Arrived on a Sunday 1:30 pm. Front door locked. Called. Were told no one available until after 3, we could leave our bags outside on back porch. A man came out the front door said he couldn't help. Later found out it was the owner's adult son :( We carried our bags with valuables (heavy!) and walked to the castle. They were cheerful and helpful after 3, but, I wouldn't do that to my customers.

Ideal für Zwischenübernachtung bei Fährtransfer

Posted 13-Jul-2015
Pros: Lage
Cons: Wohl nicht: Umgebung "rum down"
Location: Gut für Zwischenstopp von bzw. nach Frankreich.
Gut für eine Übernachtung in Nähe des Fährhafens. Zimmer sauber, ordentliche Betten. Schöner Frühstücksraum und sehr nette Außenanlagen.

Pleasant Bed and Breakfast

Posted 01-Jul-2015
Location: Dover Castle, white cliffs.
Had an enjoyable experience at this Bed and Breakfast. Arriving by train and walking around, there are few restaurants/pubs in close proximity. Otherwise, no problems were experienced.

Nice B&B close to the Dover port

Posted 21-Jun-2015
Pros: Friendly hosts. Comfortable
A friend and I were doing a cycling sportive in France and wanted to stay over in Dover the night before as we had an early start. This was perfect. Hosts very accommodating with the bikes and our early start. Room clean and perfectly comfortable. Would happily stay here again
