Nice hotel close to ferry port

Very friendly host, unfortunately the en suite door was very awkward which made night trips there noisy. Nice place would visit again

Back to the cliff, facing the port

Posted 31-Jul-2016
Pros: Quaint on the waterfront (so to speak), close to the castle.
Cons: decor is dated but to some that could be the charm of the place.
Location: Dover Castle, painted Roman House, the White Cliffs of Dover - walk along the cliff tops.
Had difficulty finding the front doorbell, but we received a worm welcome from the rear entry. Rooms at the top of the stairs, with a separate personal toilet/shower, there is no lift! Our host was very friendly and informative and served a very nice full english breakfast.

Englischer Flair

Posted 31-Jul-2016
Pros: Der englische Charme.

Lovely Manager

Posted 18-Jul-2016
Pros: Owner.
Cons: Seagulls are noisy lot, not much to be done with that though.
Location: Right by ferry and 15 minute walk to the cliffs.
This is a great location for the cliffs and the ferry port, but ultimately it was the friendliness of the proprietor which made our stay. He was genuinely lovely and the breakfast was good too.

Close to the ferry port

Posted 17-Jul-2016
Pros: Closeness to the port and town.
Cons: Better sound proofing.
Location: Ferries, castle, Canterbury and so on.
Fine for one night. Main road noisy all night but room was fine, tea making facilities and plenty of hot water.

Warm welcome awaits

What a charming hotel with so many original features! Warm welcome from very helpful staff. If you dont like plastic faceless chain hotels this is a breath of fresh air! Lovely view of the port and even a lounge to relax in.
