The resort went out of their way to make this an exceptional and memorable visit. When we arrived we found they upgraded us to a Jr Suite which might I add was beautiful and so unexpected. Our room was extremely clean and fresh. The food at the ala cartes was great along with the service. We attended many of the evening shows and throughly enjoyed, especially the Mayan Show. We spent alot of our days on the beach which was beautiful and had ample lounges for all. They have a train that runs from lobby to lobby so walking not an issue even tho this is a very large resort. Also noticed the friendliness of all the staff nice to see a smiling faces no matter where you went . We definately will return.
Great place. Food, entertainment, beach, drinks, everything was on point except the pillows! Not a big deal but somewhat annoying. I would not hesitate to book this hotel for another trip to Riviera Maya.
The staff are superb and are attentive to every need and detail. We stayed 12 nights and have no words of negativity to speak. My mother-in-law fell on the 3rd day we were there and even an unexpected/unpleasant event like that was treated with utmost attentiveness and professionalism. She was in to see a doctor onsite within a couple of minutes and no charge! All meals were superb! Expansive white sand beach. Never searched for lounge chairs or hammocks on the beach! This was especially impressive given that the resort was sold out and at high season during our Xmas stay. This resort from the rooms to the lobbies, restaurants, bathrooms, beach area, walkways etc. etc. are impeccably clean!! We left about $5 each day for our maid and were tickled to come home to very creative towel art each day often with fresh flowers. We loved the coconut ice cream at the Grand Azul! What made this resort most special was the people. Employees like Pedro, the porter who went well above and beyond his duties to make us feel welcome and treat us like royalty. Pedro never allowed us to wait more than a minute for a trolley before he'd go get us a personal one and take us himself! Pedro you are incredible and we miss your jovial personality!! This area of Mexico is so beautiful. Wishing all the people of Palladium nothing but the best for 2011. Thank you for making our vacation a breathtaking, exciting, relaxing, fun and most memorable experience. Gracias!
We had another great time at the Grand Palladium. We were returning guests and had e-mailed a room upgrade request about a week prior to our trip. We were pleasantly surprised to get an upgrade from the Colonial to the Riviera. Food was excellent as it was last year, and the Segway tour was great fun for everyone. We would recommend this resort over many of the others we have been to in the Riviera Maya.
Just great everything! Very convenient and comfortable Spa, nice gym, absolutely great sports grounds. Plenty activities for all ages. Excellent service. Huge beach to enjoy.
This was our first all inclusive 6 years ago. We have made seven trips to Mexico in that time, 3 trips to the Palladium. This trip we stayed in the Colonial resort. This hotel does everything well. Food, drinks, staff, are all above average. Our next trip will be here again in the spring. If you are considering the Mayan Riviera you will not be disappointed here.
We've been twice since Oct 09 and the GP is still great. The pools were a little chilly the first few days but so was the air temp/low humidity. The resort is beautiful, the staff friendly, shows were good, restaurants were good. Surprisingly, the best food we had was at the steak house. Best drinks were in Hemingways. Small tips go a long way for these people; if you're in a position to, a little goes a long way for their economy and gets you a lot of smiles. Our maid left us a note of heartfelt thanks for our tips. Had to have it translated, but it made us smile. Only negative side we had was from 2 bartenders in the Kantenah bar at night; rude and obnoxious when we asked for drinks only Hemingways served (we didn't know...) We avoided them the rest of the week.
Pools were gorgoeus, spa was undergoing some updating but was still great; had a wonderful 80 minute massage. Salt water pool is BEAUTIFUL. All the animals are safe and used to people; there is so much to see and do here, we've been twice and still haven't explored the entire resort! We would definitely go back.
We booked private transport thru Expedia/Best Day and it was seamless; we left within 5 min of leaving the airport and went straight to the GP. Saved so much time.
