Cute Home, Poor Communication
The home and rooms/beds were as described. We were coming to visit Western MI University, and the location was fine for that. It’s out of town in the country a bit and in a nice quiet area. We had difficulty with communication with the property owner. The day before our stay we hadn’t received any check-in instructions, and the property owner was not returning messages within the VRBO app or directly when I texted. In the afternoon I called the number provided by VRBO when I inquired about my concerns, and spoke with the father of the property owner. He explained that his number is on the listing for some reason, but that it was his daughter Julie who was running the rental. It was re-assuring to speak with someone, and he provided me her direct number, however she still took a very long time to respond after my conversation with her father. Ultimately we were pretty convinced we were being scammed and would not have a place to stay. Julie finally responded about 12 hours after my first inquiry, and explained that we would receive check-in instructions one hour before the check-in time, but it was really more like 30 minutes. When we arrived, we discovered the lockbox was not operational anyway (no batteries). We could lock the home from the inside, but not from the outside. The first time left for a few hours I did let Julie know about the lockbox. I wasn’t requesting a response back, but I never heard anything from her. On our check-out day, we left the home around 6AM for our 10 hour drive back to Minneapolis. Around 8AM I received the check-out instructions. I messaged Julie that it would have been helpful to receive the “instructions” before we had left and that I could not guarantee we left things as expected. Never heard back.

3/5 Okay

Fun Quirky but a little smelly
Overall, it was a nice place for what we needed. But it had a very strong cat urine smell with a little hint of cigarettes.

5/5 Excellent

Great for a Getaway with Friends
First off, this place is just as cool as it looks in the pictures. If you've ever wanted to stay in an A-Frame... this will chickity-check that box. Charm oozes out of every nook and cranny. Also, you will never be without the exact size and shape of throw pillow you require during your stay... I promise you. We stayed for an extra-long weekend with friends. That huge table on the main level was perfect for playing board games and card games. The kitchen was a thing of beauty, stocked with everything you would expect from a vacation rental and MUCH more. The Air Conditioning kept pace with Michigan August, providing a cool respite when returning from day trips. The finished basement provided a nice area to hang out with couches and a TV that you can hook a video game system to. Two things I would point out to interested parties: 1. There are a lot of stairs. If you have mobility issues, it will take some work getting up and down. (Handrails are nice and sturdy.) 2. There is only one bedroom. The king is a convertible bag chair in the finished basement. The twin mattresses are in the loft as shown in provided pictures. (Wasn't an issue for us, but others may want more privacy.)

Amazing Rental for Weekend Self Care Trip with pet
We enjoyed our stay at the triangle! Communication and assistance throughout the trip was fantastic. Enjoyed the boho decor and esthetic! The home had several reminders for self care! Loved seeing all the essentials oils, crystals, and great books! Went with a couple friends and my dog who all enjoyed the space indoors and outdoors! Super per friendly! Thank you for such a cute space!!
