Surprisingly bad hotel

Posted 29-Dec-2016
Pros: The only positive thing about this place is the location
Cons: Staff shows no interest in whatsoever. they ignore you until you start talking to them. If you will just stand there and wait - you can wait forever
Location: Very central; 3 minutes walk from the 2 mosques on Sultanahmet
We did not enjoy our overnight stay here. Staff shows no interest in guests whatsoever. they ignore you until you start talking to them. If you will just stand there and wait - you can wait forever. and when you do talk - they make you feel sorry for bothering them. in a four star (really?) hotel you at least expect them to wear some sort of uniform and not just sit there wearing jacket and jeans and watching movies while you try to check-in Hotel itself needs renovation; breakfast is very poor even though consists of quality ingredients No amenities in a bathroom; mold The restaurant they advertise has nothing to do with the hotel. They could at least serve breakfast there, but no, it's in the basement

The hotel room was very small and noisy, I asked the staff to change it in the second day they changed to a bigger room but noisy as well.

Definitely not 'special' :-(

Posted 22-Oct-2016
Location: Location was both good & bad. Good - near most of the main attractions e.g. Topkapi, Aya Sofia & Blue Mosque. Bad - the men hanging around.
We're do I start - Everything in the bathroom was broken. The toilet didn't flush properly, the sink and shower both leaked, the sink had a huge crack in it, by the end of your shower you were standing ankle deep in water, there was a very icky mark on the shower floor and the glass/cup was cracked/chipped. The AC in my room didn't work on my arrival and when it was fixed it didn't work using the remote control and I needed to stand on a chair to turn it on/off. The room I had was right next to the external AC units which were very LOUD. The 'view' was a wall higher than my ceiling about 3 feet away. Not the hotel's fault of course, but the lane the hotel is down is not exactly picturesque. The staff kept getting in my way at breakfast, when I went to get a cup of tea, for example, the waiter stacking cups didn't move until he was finished which was a good minute or two. The overall decor looks dated and very tired, the place needs a complete revamp.

Posted 14-Oct-2016
Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: Over charged
Location: good
Good location use back roads to avoid restaurants . Hotel used exchange rate end up with overcharging. It is Expedia fault do not book through Expedia again unless pay in £ at the the time of booking specially with countries does not use Euro

Great Location

Posted 28-Sep-2016
We stayed for 3 nights. They accepted a super late check in at 4am without any hidden fees, but the first night we were assigned at a different room at a close by restaurant ( which we found a bit weird ) but for the rest of the trip they switched us to the actual hotel, which was much better. It's perfectly located to walk everywhere to most of the attractions.

A wonderful place to stay

Posted 29-Aug-2016
Pros: The quaintness of the room , the walk to the hotel , the breakfast and the staff helpful nature .
Cons: A little maintenance i suppose or maybe we were just there at off season .
Location: Everything is accessible from here . a ten minute walk to the tram at blue mosque and you can get to anywhere from here . Lots of quaint eateries .
I visited Istambul in the last week of Feb 2016 . Chose Tria on a random whim . Liked the room facing the sea / or bhosphorous front and can enjoy the ships cruising by. I had initially booked for three days and on completion was trying to book for another two days as the prices had shot up. Ahmed at the front desk ( i think thats his name ) was very kind and helpful , he extended for the next two days at the previous rate Break fast is great , had a nice dinner on the first night on the terrace overlooking the sea and a view of the blue mosque too . Hotel staff extremely helpful and the walk back from the tram stop at sultanemeit to the hotel especially the last stretch is dotted with quaint little bars open till the wee hours of the morning . I was with my wife and we really enjoyed the hospitality over all and extremely helpful front desk . Would advice anyone to stay here .. Budget at world class service standards . Some repairs are needed on the bathroom window blinds and the Jacuzzi needs to work . It would have been great to use the the same .

A Quick Visit to Istanbul!

Posted 12-May-2016 on Hotels
Love, love, love this hotel! This is just what we were hoping for when we booked this hotel for our 22 hour flight layover. The staff was helpful, informative, and just excellent. The breakfast was simple and delicious. We loved the proximity to the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the markets as we love to walk everywhere. We enjoyed the rooftop restaurant and the food was incredible. We really enjoyed the kind people we met along the way in the quaint streets of Istanbul. We are definitely going to come back for a longer visit to Istanbul!

Great value and great location

We had a lovely few days here. Our room was small with no view but it was comfy and quiet and really well situated for our exploration of the old city
