Nice boutique hotel in Sultanahmet

Posted 27-Aug-2015
Pros: We were upgraded to a suite so we had a view of the Bosphorus and a great ensuite. Excellent buffet breakfast which was nice because it was included.
Cons: Lots of construction going on around the hotel so a heads up on that would have been nice
Location: Location was excellent. You can walk to everything in the area including the Tram. Lots of restaurants nearby including the one in the Hotel itself.
Excellent location!!!! Walking distance to all the highlights of Istanbul including the Blue Mosque. We were able to take advantage of all our tours booked with transportation because we were so close to the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar, the Spice Bazaar, Topkapı Palace, Ayasofya (Hagia Sophia) etc. the Tram is easily accessible from the Ayasofiya and most of the tours start there as well. The staff was very helpful about the area and the best options for food and tickets.

Nice hotel, very close to main tourist attractions

Posted 26-Aug-2015
Pros: Its proximity to Hagia Sophia and the ground is not too steep for ease in walking.
Cons: The blankets are too thin. Otherwise everything else is perfect.
The area is lively from morning to night. Very friendly atmosphere but my worries is searching for food without alcohol. I love the nights lighted by colourful turkish lanterns and the street is very safe even at night.

Great location, superb breakfast

Posted 11-Aug-2015
Pros: Location, breakfast, decor, staff.
Cons: For the money, we think we got a great value.
Location: Easy walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc. Tramline also very close for fast access to Spice Bazaar, Grand Bazaar--anything else you might want.
We would stay in this hotel again. While the room was small, everything else about the experience was wonderful. It seemed they spared no expense on the breakfast, more options than I could even taste. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, easy walking distance to everything. We really hardly even needed to use public transit.

Near to major attractions

Posted 31-Jul-2015
Pros: location
Cons: Furniture, lobby
Location: Major attractions are nearby. Plenty of late night eateries offering good food are steps away
The staff was friendly but the facilities did not justify the cost of the room. It is basically good for a short stay

Cozy place close to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque

Posted 29-Jul-2015
Pros: Location was great. Economical stay with wonderful proximity to main sites.
Cons: not a thing.
Staff was great in taking time to orient us to places to visit, places that were not worth while, provided reccommendation to authentic and fantastic Turkish bath. Everything was as promised on website or better. Good continental breakfast with authentic local food and familiar food too (honey was amazing - plain or strawberry flavored) Location is less than 5 minute walk to Hagia Sophia, Topkapi and Blue Mosque. On quiet side street.

Quaint small hotel close to tourist center

Posted 28-Jul-2015
Pros: Location. The room we were given was small but the bed and bath are great.
Cons: Having to go to the Annex where our room is located, which is a separate building from the lobby and restaurant, was not appealing.
Location: It is walking distance from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofya, restairants, local bazaar, other hotels and tourist stores.
We stayed for only one night so we need to be in the center of the typical tourist haven of Istanbul. Tria Hotel is indeed well-placed. It is walking distance from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofya. It has a roof garden restaurant with the view of the Bosphorus and the menu is mouth watering. Other restaurants and nearby if one craves for other meals.

Hotel entsprach nicht dem Katalogangebot

Posted 09-Jul-2015

Convenient location near the must-see Hagia Sofia.

Posted 12-Jun-2015
Pros: Excellent, helpful staff who gave personal service. Located near the main sights but on a quiet street. Variety of breakfast choices. Good showers.
Cons: Better towels. If you order their taxi from the airport online, make sure you get a confirmation. Check if your room has a view and if terrace is open
Location: Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand and Spice Bazaars, Basilica Cisterns, Mosaic Museum, Hocapasa Theatre, Turkish Arts and Culture Museum
Good location to see the main sights in the old city. We walked easily to most places but the hotel is also good to catch the tram to reach other locations on the other side of the Bosphorous. The street parallel to the hotel's street is packed with places to eat and drink, touristy but fun. The hard-working staff in the hotel are super helpful for the first-time visitor, always friendly and patient with any questions you may have. Rooms are air-conditioned and bathrooms have good showers, but I wouldn't rate this a top 4 star. Towels had seen better days. However, we did opt for a standard room which I think was the smallest with no view at all from the windows so it was dark, and it was sometimes street noisy. I was disappointed that the roof terrace wasn't open because the views would have been good. There are many places nearby that offered terrace views where we often had a evening drink. Breakfast included was fresh and plentiful with help-yourself honey dripping from a standing honeycomb!
