We've been there as a family of three one weekend in January. The weather was very miserable but, to be honest, this was actually what made it feel so charming and comfy. Marianne who runs the place was very welcoming and pleasant upon arrival and showed us around all the lovely rooms in the castle. The room was a good enough size and the bathroom massive. Breakfast was also good, with cooked breakfast and a great choice of home made jams and marmalades. For us the best was to stay around the fireplace having a wee dram and a quiet chat. Would definitely recommend but I also think with nice weather it wouldn't have felt the same.
An amazing place to stay, beautiful rooms, amazing view over the other islands. The grounds include fantastic walks along the coast, ancient standing stones, Highland cows! Breakfast was also very nice. We had a great time. And very dig friendly. The staff were great too
