Good Stay
Had a good time at the property. The location of the house was close to major attractions. The property needs a bit of improvement. Need some maintenance to the property but looks good

Very nice spot for our first trip to Loch Ness! Tons of space and very comfortable.
Property was great - Alan and Cami were attentive hosts. They arrived late to meet us, but that was due to traffic and they were very apologetic. Had the place cleaned in a jiffy and all was neat as a pin. Only real challenge we had was getting the toilets to flush consistently, but that's due to the system they are on and not within their control. Location was good and very peaceful. Lots of great ideas to review on things to do and places to go around and on Loch Ness. Victoria, who owns the adjacent B&B, was lovely and spent some time chatting about the area, as well as sharing her wonderful homemade chocolate with us! One suggestion - we had very good weather - not too hot and not too cold, but if it had been warmer, the bedroom windows upstairs did not open very far, so ventilation would have been very limited. If those windows don't get replaced at some point, might want to consider having fans in both rooms as it did get a little stuffy on the upper floor. That being said, we would definitely come back! Thanks! Jan

Cozy cottage
The cottage is well located--close to the Loch Ness center, which is worth the orice of admission. While the cottage is small, it had everything that two couples needed for a quiet stay on Loch Ness. The picture doesn't do the cottage credit. It is one of several cottages around a pretty courtyard.

A Hidden Gem - giant, beautiful, and perfect!
We absolutely loved our stay at Kerrowdown Mill - the place was much bigger than we anticipated (even bigger than our actual home!), very clean, and in a beautiful area. We enjoyed the walk to Drumandrochit (nearly a mile) because we got to see beautiful views of Loch Ness, pass the Ness Museum and Nessieland, and see some wee Highland Coo's! The road is private, and everyone we passed was very kind. We lucked out and only saw a small rain at night so we could enjoy it from the deep and beautiful windows in the cottage. We loved the location for a relaxing stay while feeling out in the country, with a town nearby to explore! The cottage is decorated beautifully and full of comfortable furniture. We immediately felt at home, and had no issues with comfort. The bathtub in the double bed room is rather large, and the shower in the twin bed room is actually the entire room! We had a bit of an issue with plumbing while we were here (low water pressure in the toilets for flushing and some issues with getting the water to flow properly in the shower for a decent shower time), but Alan and Cami were very responsive, helped us with the issues, and were planning on having a plumber out the day after we left to fix those issues for future guests. The issues were all easy to work around as well, and did not negatively impact our stay. The kitchen is well and fully stocked with everything you could need to cook a nice meal (though the grocery store is a bit of a walk so be prepared if you decide not to bring a car!) The house was also well stocked with blankets, toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, sewing kit and cotton swabs), and tea/coffee/sugar. We loved that there was a dishwasher as well, so that we could just run the dishwasher when we left instead of taking time on our vacation to clean. We recommend eating at Fiddlers and the Ness Cafe (the fish chowder!). We easily walked to Urquhart Castle and Divach Falls and enjoyed the views of the highlands and Loch Ness the entire time we walked. Everyone in town was very kind and welcoming. We highly recommend Loch Ness Cruises aboard the Nessie Hunter - the most informative and interesting tour of Loch Ness, including details about the history of Nessie and Urquhart Castle from one of the most informed men on the entire loch, who even had an area of the Loch named after him. Thanks for a beautiful stay Alan and Cami! We will be telling all of our friends about your gem of a cottage to stay in.
