Misleading description
When we arrived Kevin was nowhere to be seen, we were greeted by a woman who ran out of cottage to say keys were in the door and Kevin would be back later and with that she went off in a car, which we thought was a bit strange. Maybe that should have set off alarm bells. My 2 year old grandson then proceeded to fall on gravel on the drive only to put his hand in some dried up dogs mess, so not a good start. Accommodation was dreary and extremely small for 5 people. Needs a good paint, cables loose and stairs very steep. Totally unsuitable for a toddler. Decided to have a look at garden as wanted to spend all our time outside in the fresh country air and in the Hot tub. Well we were so disappointed. Hot tub did look very nice but everything else was disgraceful. There was a lovely John Lewis bbq but looked like it had never been cleaned it had food all over it, filthy. Its advertised as a lawned garden, even though the photo shows woodchippings. Either would have been fine, but all there was, was overgrown weeds, stones and pieces of wood scattered about, not to mention more dogsmess. No trampoline or any of the toys in the photos except for a plastic red seesaw. The patio set was not the one in the photo it was rusty and old. We couldn't believe what we were seeing and there was no way a 2 year old could play safely there, even barbed wire around the outside of the 'garden'. We left without meeting Kevin so dont know if he is as helpful as people have said, although he did give us a refund without quibble when I rang him on the way home to complain, though this didn't help when you have a 12 year old in the car crying all the way home. When I mentioned the trampoline he said he'd removed that 2 years previously. The photos online must be about 10 years old. The description needs to be updated as its misleading and the place needs a complete overhaul and in my view is not suitable for children. As for the dogsmess, so disgusting. So so disappointing.
