Simple but average quality hotel

Posted 25-Aug-2015
Pros: The cable
Cons: The cleanliness
Location: The location is great. Right on a busy highway
The environment is quite, but the hotel was not all that.

Days Inn Hicksville

Posted 18-Aug-2015
Pictures on the website are a bit deceitful, hotel looks kind of shabby and run down from the outside, however, the staff was very nice, the room was nice, a bit old looking as well, but it had a flat screen, Wi-Fi, radio, phone, coffee maker, refrigerator, nice bathroom (some cracked tile on the floor, & the vent leaked water all over the floor the day it rained), iron/ironing board, hair dryer, free soap/shampoo, continental breakfast (wasn't that great), several vending machines, an ice machine, & the hotel was walking distance from a few stores, & very close to the train station. I would rather not stay there again, but would if I absolutely had too. Three nights for $347.00, I can get a lot nicer hotel room for that I would think. However, the room had what I needed, and the staff was very very nice.

Convienent hotel for the location

Posted 08-Aug-2015
Pros: It's locale
Cons: As stated, parking and driving area needs major work
Location: For business I would consider it fine. For leisure, few amenities, just close to where family and friends area. A fair number of good restaurants.
Although well located for business or leisure the exterior needs major work, front desk area is cramped as is the breakfast area.

Terribly run down and smelly

Posted 07-Aug-2015
The non smoking room smelled 100% like smoke and we could not be given a different room. Terrible experience for a non smoker. And the room was terribly old and shabby.

terrible condition

Posted 27-Jul-2015
Pros: NOTHNG
Cons: The worst hotel I have ever stayed in
hotel looks like it needs to be torn down; although clean, the floors felt as if they were going to give out and were extremely noisy. Had to get more towels from office. Maid came in while 1 guest in bathroom; when he shouted he was in there, she said sorry, but when he came out of bathroom, the maids were cleaning the room! Unbelievable! The curtains had holes all over in the liner so sun shone through; looked like stars. Awful for the price. Pool in the middle of the parking lot.

Not so nice

Posted 26-Jul-2015
The rooms are okay. The outside of the hotel looks like it was built in 50s or 60s. The cafeteria is terrible. Orange juice dispenser was empty and after it was filled it didn't work. The small amount of items in the cafeteria was poorly stocked. Example, some bagels were there no vcream cheese.

In need of major renovation.

Posted 20-Jun-2015
Pros: quiet rooms, pool is nice.
Cons: Walls need to be refreshed with new wallpapers or paints, carpet needs replacing and breakfast area is a rethink. Internet access is to be faster.
Rooms are reasonably sized, walls and floor is really dirty and dusty. The facility is really showing it age.
