Breeze, a lovely 30-foot narrowboat, is one of the crafts on hire available from the Floating Cottages. Recently re-fitted and re-designed as a high-quality stay, Breeze combines new with traditional features of narrowboats, which makes it ideal for couples that want a unique experience on board. Available all year round, couples can enjoy Breeze as a 'romantic getaway' within the Hill Farm Marina where the boat is situated. The Marina is nestled in a valley and sited on a working beef and sheep farm. Enjoy the changing seasons, see the lambs being born in the spring, relax and fully unwind in this totally secure and quiet place. If walking is desired, there are lots of opportunities, including access to private walks around the farm and links with the towpath and public footpaths. Some great walks include Austy Woods - well known for the Bluebells, the Edstone Aqueduct – at 475 feet, it is the longest cast iron aqueduct in England, or Monarchs Way – the escape route of King Charles II. Looking for amazing coffees or dining? The View, a licensed casual dining venue is on-site, part of the Hill Farm Marina. With an emphasis on high quality locally sourced fresh ingredients, all cooked to order, The View is the place to go. The View opened in July 2019. Offering the perfect place to eat, drink and enjoy the countryside, it is also as the name suggests, a great place to enjoy stunning views. Breeze is ideal for two people plus two guests, with boating experience and similarly, for those that never been on a narrowboat or they are new to boating. What better experience than the excitement of cruising at 4 miles per hour into Shakespeare's Stratford-Upon-Avon, to visit its many attractions, cafes and pubs, spend the night and return? The South Stratford canal runs between Stratford upon Avon and Kingswood Junction and is part of the well-known Avon Ring. It's 25.5 miles in length and well known for the traditional lock cottages and split bridges. There are some fantastic opportunities for cruising in either direction or longer round trips, the canal is part of the well know Avon Ring. As a self-catering boat, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.
The kitchen has a fridge freezer, a 2-gas burner hob, a 3-in-1 combination microwave oven with grill, stovetop whistling kettle, toaster, non-stick copper cookware with lids, kitchen utensils and crockery. Breeze is a perfect place to relax with free internet access and a 24' smart TV. There is also a foldable table with two foldable chairs, a pull-out sofa which transforms into a double bed with goose feather and down bed pillows and anti-allergen, two goose feather and down 4.5 tog double duvets; Breeze has one spacious bathroom, with a cassette toilet, washbasin and shower. Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable. House Rules:
- Check-in time is 2 pm and check-out is 11 am.
- Smoking is not allowed.
- There are on-site parking facilities available at the property.
- Pets are not allowed at the property. Please note that from the 15th October 2020 until 1st April 2021, regardless of the number of nights booked, Breeze can only be taken out on the canal for short trips during the day and she must return before 5pm, to spend the night in the marina.
