Riviere Towans is one of the oldest and most charming holiday parks in the country, with the first chalets established in the early 1920s. Today, it forms a picturesque coastal retreat of unique, privately owned beach chalets, bungalows, and lodges - many offering breathtaking sea views and all set just minutes on foot from the beach. On the Doorstep Direct Beach Access: At low tide, wander along the golden sands and coastal paths connecting the Hayle river mouth all the way to the dramatic clifftops of Godrevy and the renowned surf breaks at Gwithian. Along the way, discover wonderful local cafes and restaurants serving fresh Cornish seafood, artisan ice creams, barista coffees, and sunset cocktails. Water Sports: For water sports enthusiasts, you will find fantastic surf breaks at Hayle Rivermouth and Mexico Towans right on your doorstep. Stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, kitesurfing, and windsurfing are all popular year-round, with the calm estuary waters providing ideal conditions for paddling. Hayle Highlights: The historic town of Hayle offers something for everyone, including the RSPB Hayle Estuary Nature Reserve, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, the open-air Hayle Lido, independent gift shops, convenient supermarkets, traditional pubs, and world-famous Cornish pasties fresh from Philps. Further Afield St Ives: Hop aboard the scenic coastal branch line train from nearby Lelant into St Ives to explore its cobbled lanes, golden beaches, and the world-class Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Garden. Penzance & West Cornwall: Head south to Newlyn Harbour to experience the bustling fish market, browse the historic streets, promenade, and Egyptian House in Penzance, or plan an unforgettable day trip to Land's End and the dramatic coastal trails around Sennen Cove.
