Situated at one end of the Song Royal historical street which is a pedestrian mall, one can walk all the way to the other end - the Wushan Plaza. The street is lined with tubs of flowers, flower baskets and waterways filled with ornamentals. On both sides are shops selling traditional products. Branching off are side streets with more shops and a food street selling local fare. It can be hot in summer as we found out but no worries, there is a trolley that makes a circular round starting from near the hotel to the wushan Plaza and back. We can also walk to the West lake - only a leisurely 15 minutes walk. On the negative side, some people may be troubled by the cards for local pleasures slipped under the door. The walls are also thin and at night we can hear voices and noises in the corridor.
