First impression of the hotel was not great as the lobby and lift are very small. However I am happy with the room and found the staff extremely helpful generally. It’s great to hear the staff telling American tourists about the history of royalty :)

I wasn't sure about booking this hotel, as I'd never heard of it. However it was amazing. It is small but that actually adds to the experience. We usually prefer larger hotels but this was truly 5*. It really feels like a special place.

Can't get a better location, near to Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Sq, Buckingham Palace...the hotel itself is immaculate, the double room was of a reasonable size, the bed so comfortable and bathroom well appointed. Shower was excellent, complimentary drinks on arrival and cookies and cranberry juice / water in the room. Downsides..not many, view was terrible and there was a slightly unusual smell in the room which you only really noticed first entering.

We were only here for 1 night but had a lovely stay and would highly recommend the hotel and would return if in the area again.
It was close to the station and bus routes,shops restaurants etc.
From the warm welcome from the gentleman at the door and efficient and personable reception staff,we found check in was quick and easy .
The rooms were clean and well thought out,the towels fluffy and soft and the bed comfortable.

Had a great 2-night stay at South Place. The staff were courteous, attentive and efficient. The room we stayed in was spotless, my only gripe was the bathroom sink which only seemed to dispense scorching or very cold water. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I would happily return to this establishment.

5* Everything was perfect from when we arrived for our hotel stay. Would stay again in the hotel.
3rd time I have been to radio bar during lunch and the service has still not improved. Waited 10 mins to be acknowledged for our drinks order then another 15 mins for this to arrive. Bar staff really need to smile!
Such a shame as this reflects on the hotel facilities. Would not stop me re booking the hotel but will be going else where for lunch! Stk in the evening was 5* service
