Could and should be so much better

Posted 03-Oct-2016
Firstly, I'm giving an honest opinion based on other stats at hotels for similar or less prices. We stayed for one night at a cost of £120 (breakfast included), our room was not in the main building but in a small block to the side. The room was very dated, cracks in walls, In desperate need of decorating, The bed had clearly seen better days and was a small double, the bathroom was dated and not very clean (coffee stains up the back of the door!) and the door annoyingly could not be closed without locking and keep banging against the door stop each time. Parking bays were small and there didn't appear to be that many for such a big hotel. Breakfast was ok, but I'd certainly not have paid £16 for it, glad it was part on the deal. I'd say I've stayed in nicer Premier Inns for a lot less money and much more comfort.

Run down hotel with lovely large grounds

Posted 18-Jul-2016
Initially looked nice. But furniture old and tatty including phone! 1990s style. Breakfast very basic waited for an hour for cooked breakfast. Some guests left. No smile from staff...I'm guessing over worked!

A bit passed its sell by date

Posted 21-Jun-2016
Pros: Quality of food (both evening meal and breakfast), attentive staff, Spa and cleanliness of the room.
Cons: The outside of the building needs attention.
The room was very clean, spacious and had everything you would expect. The staff were very polite and attentive. However, the outside of the building is looking a little the worse for wear. It could do with some investment to fill the multitude of visible cracks in the outside of the building, especially at the back, and give it a lick of paint. The garden walls/steps and concrete features in the garden are in a bad state of repair and could do with replacing/repairing as it makes it look as though the hotel just wants your money and not willing to invest. Overall, it didn't spoil our stay.

Prisbilligt fornemt hotel i parklignende herskabelige omgivelser. Stille, roligt og smukt.
