Cozy Lakeside Duplex Cabin on Moosehead, 10-min walk to Downtown Greenville

Cozy Lakeside Duplex Cabin on Moosehead, 10-min walk to Downtown Greenville

8/10 Good
"We typically stay in cabins more remote, but we opted for this camp-style duplex which was walking distance to the Greenville shops/dining. The property itself is very spacious, well maintained, and secluded for the location. There’s a nice pebbly boat launch area where we explored, enjoyed coffee & sunrises, swam and kayaked. There’s also a quiet little marina with a few slips. The platform with the grill and fireplace was perfect for sunsets & stargazing. The property is large and nicely lit for nighttime ambiance. The camp has plenty of charm and was perfect for our scenario. The two units are connected by a door on the 3season porch. There’s a solid deck that overlooks the grounds and lake. It was helpful to have the two kitchens, which were well equipped. Wifi and tv were functional. The bedrooms and bathrooms were adequate. While I would recommend upgrading the beds, everything was clean and tidy and we all slept perfectly fine. Our days were spent at Lily Bay State park, hiking Kineo, sightseeing, exploring trails, and shopping/dining in the area. We enjoyed our quiet mornings and evenings at the property. This is an ideal spot for a group or family with teens where the parents stay in one and the kids have the other. A dog would love it here! Finally, the communication with the host was on point. They were very friendly and all of my questions were answered in a timely fashion.Overall, I would give this location an 8.7 and we would certainly stay here again."

"Friendly and helpful staff. Nice view from the balcony. There are no amenities except a small giftshop, free continental breakfast, and a fire pit. Place is older/outdated. Blankets are very heavy/dense, no soft and cozy comforter/duvet. The room only comes with 1 pillow per person."

Pet Friendly Cabin with Direct access to Wilson Pond

10/10 Excellent
"We have been coming to this area in Maine for 4 to 5 years and this was one of our favorite places to stay. It was quiet and the pond was beautiful to look at. The house came stocked with the basics and had plenty of games and movies to watch if you decide to stay in. At night it was so quiet you can hear the loons and the owls which made the night even more perfect. A amazing getaway for the family and pets."

"The property is exactly as described on vrbo. I can't really think of anything that the host has forgotten to provide! My son says it feels like it is a cabin on the ship of the Dawn Treader from Narnia .... For those that don't know the story, that is a very high compliment ! The swimming is great, but just be aware that it is a rocky shoreline and we found watershoes were very helpful to swim."

Beautiful lakefront camp with sunset view over big moose mountain

10/10 Excellent
"Nice cabin right up the hill from Moosehead Lake.Easy lake access. It is gorgeous at the Lake. Cabin was clean. Nice amenities. Appreciated the condiments, herbs, spices, oil etc which makes it much easier to shop for a few meals without buying stuff can’t fly home with. Grocery store nearby. Bed and recliners, sofa are comfy. Nice deck, grill and outdoor decor. We filled the bird and hummingbird feeder to get visiting hummingbirds, blue jays, chickadees, juncos and some others. Kayaks with PFD were SO wonderful to have. Totally enjoyed paddling and exploring the lake. Cruised on the Katahdin, did a canoe Moose safari( only saw loons and a turkey- LOL), explored the area. Lilly Bay, Gulf Hagas, Mt Kineo, little ski area. Several good restaurants in Greenville. Favorite was Stress Free Moose and Kelly’s Landing.Moosehead Lake area is wonderful. So glad we went! And the cabin is for sale right now too!"
