Full of potential, but it’s work in progress

A lovely short break at the e d of the school summer holidays. Accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. No WiFi connection was a surprise. The staff across the estate were very friendly and helpful. Children enjoyed kayaking, tennis , swimming , hot tub and playing in the woods. Would have been good if bike hire was available. No archery or horse riding available and there is clearly a programme of building work and renovation across the estate that is still in very early stages. Didn’t spoil our stay but the website is somewhat misleading on what’s actually there now vs planned ! Food, ambiance and service at Fritton Arms was excellent and free access trip to somerleyton hall was a lovely surprise . Children enjoyed the maze and eexploring the stunning grounds. Overall very happy with our holiday, will wAtch with interest on how redevelopments progress and pricing strategy over the next few years.
