Outside of town, deserted in summer, Small room

Posted 31-Aug-2015
Pros: Price Ice machine in parking area (good for re-icing cooler)
Cons: I doubt they could be improved but the rooms were really small.
Location: It's at the bottom of the slope but about 15 minutes outside of town. All there is to do during summer is the lounge, the cafe, and resort sports.
We stayed for one night while driving across the country. The staff was very pleasant, but only staffed the adjacent lodge a few hundred meters down the hill. The room was small and the fan in the room was loud. The place was fairly deserted and there were maybe 10 cars there total. The cafe at the bottom of the lifts (on the back of the main building) was quite good and reasonably priced (excellent waffle)

Nice hotel

Posted 30-Aug-2015
We stayed for three nights. There was no daily housekeeping. Beautiful view, nice large windows in our room with a large balcony! Really liked the underground parking!

Nice hotel

Posted 29-Aug-2015
Pros: hotel design, décor, fast elevator, room design, balcony.
Cons: having to check in at different hotel
Location: Kicking horse has lots of biking, hiking and snow sports.
We checked in later in the day. Only issue was having to go to another hotel to check in. Would be nice to know this ahead of time to save a trip.

Close to golden golf and country club

Posted 16-Aug-2015
Pros: The one bedroom suit was nice
Cons: The advertising could be more clear about what type of room to expect
Location: It's right on the ski hill and close to golf as well
Judging by the add I was under the impression I was getting a room with private hot tub On the balcony this was not the case.the wifi and the phone did not work also.By the time A worker came to check on the problems and we got moved to another(upgraded) room Our night was pretty much shot. Was not a good experience and will not return

Disappointing

Posted 10-Aug-2015
Pros: Not much. It had walls and a roof so it served its purpose, but there was nothing great about the hotel.
Cons: A more thorough cleaning and more general maintenance and upkeep of the unit.
Location: The town of Golden is great! The Golden Golf Club was beautiful and the staff there are amazing!
We were very disappointed with the rental unit. The location and building features were as advertised, but the actual unit itself was a let-down. The unit was missing kitchen items like a baking sheet, there were dirty utensils and frying pans, and there were no basics like salt and pepper. There was no A/C in the unit and the patio had a broken screen door (which we informed the front desk about, but it wasn't fixed during our stay) so it was difficult to cool the unit off without letting in lots of mosquitos and moths (it was in the high 20s so the unit got quite hot during the day even with the blinds closed). The unit hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in some time - dust in the light fixtures and on baseboards, hairs in the bathroom, etc. The pull out couch was very old and VERY used.

Quiet location just beside the ski hills amenities

Posted 10-Aug-2015
Pros: Location away from hustle and bustle
Cons: Was getting a little worn look in halls/carpets
Location: Lots to do on the hill and back down in townsite, 10 minutes drive away.
NO amenities in this building, not even pop machine working.

More of a winter resort

There is no one on the front desk. You check in at one hotel then move to the Palliser.

Gorgeous view, convenient location

Posted 14-Apr-2015
Great price, room was comfortable, had a room with a king size mattress which turned out to be 2 twins put together so there was a crack in the bed and the mattress was very firm. Balcony had a stunning view, very close to the ski hill. There was no staff in the particular building we were in as check in was in the main hotel which was slightly inconvienient as this was our first time to kicking horse so already didn't know where to go. Room was relatively clean and as odd as it seems the heated tiles in the bathroom were much appreciated!!
