While the drive is easy in fair weather, we always recommend a 4x4 vehicle for anyone exploring the Smokies—especially during winter months or when venturing onto steeper back roads. Once you’re settled in, you're just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, the national park, and scenic byways. Ladybugs, millipedes, and other insects can be difficult to combat around this time of year, even with our constant pest control program in place. It is not uncommon to see them occur in and around the cabin/condo, especially with the opening and closing of doors. This is extremely common for the area and all cabins/condos. • Being in the mountains, wind can sometimes blow leaves, dirt, or other natural debris into the hot tub. The hot tub has been drained and cleaned to ensure it’s ready for use. We stayed here for 3 nights. It’s a wonderful cabin. It was clean and nice parking. It has the best view in Gatlinburg and the hot tub was nice. Wish it had bigger shower and ceiling fans in the the rooms but other than that I will stay in this cabin again. I highly recommend it. ##### Carrie L. The views were absolutely stunning. The cabin was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely rent this cabin again. The kitchen is hit or miss. Plates, glasses, cups, and cutlery were great. Pans not so much. If you are driving there you may want to bring some from home. The road leading to the cabin is a bit challenging but doable without snow. Not sure I would chance without four wheel drive in the snow as the instructions say. Le Conte and mountains The cabin provided all of our needs but the most impressive aspect of this cabin is the view. The view of the mountains is right in front of you, higher than "The Needle" so don't waste your money going there. Sitting in the hot tub with the view is so relaxing and rejuvenating after going to Dollywood and The Island. I would highly recommend this cabin. ##### Linda M. The property has plenty of room for six with comfortable beds and furnishings. Nothing over the top, that would cause worry for a family with children and concerns with damaging the furniture. The only concern I should mention is that if you are uncomfortable driving on steep winding roads maybe not best for you, but the view is worth it. The house is only about 10 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and another 10 minutes to Pigeon Forge. ##### Ron O. We are in our 70s and it was easy to get around as there are no stairs. I had a toilet noise issue in the master bathroom but it was fixed promptly after it was reported. We were mainly interested in the views and they were beautiful. We were also excited to see several bear including two cubs climbing a tree right off our deck. The drive was only 10 minutes away from Gatlinburg. Would advise that you have a 4x4 in the winter. Any other time a regular vehicle will be fine the road is paved all the way to the cabin. The rooms are spacious and the house is well maintained. I would recommend to anyone that is where I will stay again!! ##### John B. It was a great view of the mountains, it snowed and it was evenmpre memorable. Snow fell and first thing in the morning they they were out there showing the snow off the roads. It was easy to navigate to this location, i would always recommend a awd vehicle, for a peace of mind. I will stay here again! ##### Michael D. The view is as pictured; even better in person. The inside of the rental unit had a couple of minor issues— shower in king bedroom is very small and hard to maneuver in, and the wood flooring is wavy in some areas but not a problem for walking (it catches on one bedroom door slightly). Other than that it is a beautiful location and all the beds are comfortable for sleeping. The road up is curvy but once you travel it a couple of times, it is not a problem (we had a truck and my daughter’s family had an AWD vehicle). Overall, we all enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. ##### Terry P.
