Wonderful Getaway

This cabin was in a prime location on the mountain side. About 10 min from the main attractions in town. Would definitely stay again.

Great floorplan nice views

Nice modern rustic feel very open and never a dull moment. Dispite prior reviews the grill hottub and couches are nice. Birthday party of 6 was excellent. Cheers!

PERFECT LOCATION

.3 miles from Ober Gatlinburg, 1mile from downtown. Beautifully situated for privacy without isolation or difficulty in travel. House is mountain homey on the inside. Super comfortable all around and perfect for teens or couples wanting time away. Couldn't be happier with the location, or the hosts.

Great place to stay

My family stayed here for a short trip to Gatlinburg. The home was beautiful and very clean. It was close to everything we wanted to do but still quiet and peaceful. The host was very helpful and answered all of our questions. We would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was great!!! Plenty of room for the nine of us(two couples and five kids)! We were close to all of the attractions and our host was super friendly and responded quickly any time we needed anything. We will definitely be staying here when we are back in town!!!

Great cabin for the family

The family had a great time at the cabin they enjoyed the pool table, community pool and hot tub and being up in the mountains. It’s within 15 minutes of all the amenities in Gatlinburg. We had one issue but the commutation was great and we were able to find a resolution. I would definitely rent this cabin again.

Top mountain view

The view was amazing, but it would have been nice to know what to expect for the drive up and down the mountain. We got in late in the dark which made it a little scary. Once we were there we all enjoyed the spaciousness, cleanliness and hot tub/pool table. We ran into a slight issue with the holding tank backing up but it was addressed and resolved right away. Overall we had a great vacation and recommend this cabin if you don’t mind the drive up and down the mountain!

Hilarious

The cabin was Great no complaints. Great little get away for me and my 5 kids. We got to experience what it was like to have a bear open your car doors and get inside, not once but twice lol. Thank You for new experiences. The cabin was Great.

Cabin in the mountains

This cabin was very clean, in a great location, had many box fans, and we were able to see many bears! Just a heads up, LOCK YOUR VEHICLE DOORS. They will get inside and eat all of your snacks! I was also very thankful for the baby gates and toys there for littles. Great place for families.

Peaceful, Quiet, Absolutely Beautiful yet Still Close to the Attractions

The pictures do not do it justice! It is located in the mountains but that's what makes it so quiet & peaceful. If you want alone time or family time this is the place. We couldn't have asked for better hosts either! Justin was always in contact & sent us a ton of attractions to enjoy along with coupons for those attractions. If you want to be close but not downtown and enjoy a beautiful vacation home with your family THIS IS THE PLACE!! When the time comes this is where we'll be staying again!

Mountain Side Cottage

We had a nice time here. The cottage is very pretty inside as the pictures show. We had a couple of good sunrises over the distant mountains, gorgeous ♡ We had a few issues to which Justin responded promptly to get addressed & we were thankful for that. As far as coming & going to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge we found it easier to always use the National Parkway off of Campbell Lead Rd. Left to Gatlinburg & right to Pigeon Forge. Thank you, Jason, for sharing.

Top of the Mountain

Though no fault of the listing, folks not familiar with the area may want to know it is pretty high up on the mountain with very curvy roads to access it. The location was lovely. The home was clean. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub was very nice to use in the morning and though it was ground level, the local wildlife did keep it's distance. We did see a few bears, which was very cool. The only negative was the wi-fi. It was fine for the phones but we could not figure out how to access it for the gaming system we brought along. Thankfully, the teen boys found other ways to amuse themselves. It was a great family home.

Welcoming and spacious cabin

Overall, a very impressive home and location for the cost to stay. We had 7 people total that ranged in all ages. The home was spacious enough with several bathrooms (one on each level) and large bedrooms. The main living area is open concept and cozy. There's also a large deck that we enjoyed gathering on and a nice hot tub! We had a hiccup with the refrigerator in the basement. The owner was quick to respond and had someone come fix it right away. My only critique is that the grill was old and did'nt seem to work well. Also, the pool is not on the property, but is only a few minutes drive away. Very nice facility with not only a pool, but basketball, tennis, and several indoor games. The kids had a great time there.

Spacious home with some issues

Cons: The property was listed as having three King beds but upon arriving we found that to be inaccurate -- the house only has two Kings and one smaller bed in the basement bedroom. This disrupted our stay as the other bedrooms were two floors up and we couldn't divide everyone up as initially planned. There were numerous small maintenance issues (lights missing, air conditioning not working, tubs not properly cleaned, etc.) that detracted from our overall stay. Pros: Great location, relatively short drive to Pigeon Forge, downtown Gatlinburg, and the national park. The house is spacious and has ample parking.

2024 Cabin Vacation Stay

First impression when we drove up was it was in a nice location and looked decent. When entering the cabin it looked spacious and clean. However after settling in we noticed multiple issues with this unit such as, ac issues, fan and light issues, exposed electrical wires, broken tv, and the outside grill was in bad shape. I reached out to the propery manage at Avada inc. and was routed through their phone services group. They were very apologetic and promised to get a repair person out as soon as possible. Unfortunately these repairs did not start until three days later and after multiple calls and texts through the VRBO app. I actually requested that the owner call me back through my cell number because the guest services would not give me his number. I never received a call back from Justin and honesty made me feel that their was a lack of "give of dam" on his part. Because of this i was left to communicate through the guest services hot line or through "contact host" in the VRBO app which i believe was filtered by the Avada personnel and not actually the owner. Besides all the issues with the cabin, me and my family made the best of the trip and salvaged our vacation. I believe if this cabin had a thorough inspection prior to each guest stay this could have been avoided. Hopefully our experience and my actions helps the next family to fully enjoy their stay at this cabin without all the hassles.

Challenging drive but nice location

Really enjoyed this cabin. Roomy enough for our family and no steep steps like some other rentals. There are stairs but they are normal like you would find in a regular house. If you hope you see bears….this is the spot. We had bears every day.
