Lovely traditional hotel

Posted 14-Jan-2017
Rooms were spacious clean but average. The food was some of the best we'd had and reasonably priced -make sure you eat here- can see why they've won awards Parking free Hotel staff very helpful

Quaint w/ Great Location

Posted 29-Nov-2016
Pros: Within walking distance to everything in down town Galway. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Cons: Easier access to parking facility; road construction caused us problems.
Location: You can walk across the street through the square to the all shopping, restaurants and pubs
Very nice, old world hotel with a great location. Easy access to all sites, shopping, dining and local pubs.

A Fine Hotel - great stay

Thoroughly enjoyed a very restful break whilst in Galway on business. The hotel is tastefully decorated, has excellent staff who leave you alone yet respond rapidly to requests.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking and huge breakfast was included in our 2 nights. Short walking distance to restaurants and shops. We will def stay here on our next visit.

Great, central location, spacious rooms, clean

Posted 10-Nov-2016
Pros: This Hotel is fantastic, spacious rooms, everything within walking distance, fantastic breakfast, the lounge area had a lot of guests lazing away listening to soft classical music sipping their wines etc, Hotel guests seemed to be mostly Americans like myself at the time, staff were so helpful I had to politely say take it easy ☺ The hotel has an old hotel ambience but everything is up to date, Galway city is fantadtic, one can never get bored.
Cons: Everything was great, no need to change anything.
Location: Lots of great restaurants around Eyre square, some with excellent local fish and fresh Galway Bay oysters for great prices, similar in LA would cost 3

Great hotel!

Posted 24-Oct-2016
Pros: Great location (0.5 block from train and bus stations) and just a block from the city sights. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. I will definitely tell friends to try the hotel.
Cons: The hair dryer in the bathroom was not adequate - time to upgrade.
