Otherwander Soho Pod Hotel (ADULTS ONLY)

10/10 Excellent

"I wasn’t sure what to expect of this stay as I have never stayed at a pod hotel before but I was really impressed by this place. I booked a double bed pod for a little extra place and i found the pod very comfortable and cozy. Plenty of room to sit up and the bed was comfy. A little tricky to get in and out of but that’s to be expected really. Booking and access was very smooth. The toilets and showers were very clean and the pod was pretty soundproof. I had an excellent nights sleep. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who just needs a place to sleep as it’s a bargain compared to other London hotels"

Royal National Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The staff stood out. They were so helpful and friendly. Our room was clean the beverages were stocked up for our two nights stay. The beds were very comfortable. The only negative aspect was the long line of people waiting to store their bags. gave up and stored them elsewhere at a cost. However the hotel is huge and really busy so this is not a criticism of the hotel. We would definitely recommend staying there. We are going to go back."

Marlin Waterloo

8/10 Good

"The location is the best thing about the property. It is 5-10 min walk away from the underground station and has many subway lines that you can take. The property is modern and next to a Pret for a quick coffee in the morning and a short walk to many nice restaurants. When we arrived, check in was fast but when we got to our room, I was disappointed that I did not get the king bedroom that I reserved. Upon speaking with the front desk, I was told that the king beds in London are smaller than in other countries. I am from Canada and saw the photos, the king size bed was huge. I insisted that there was an error made and was eventually told that I was 'upgraded' to a room with a kitchenette but a smaller bed. Sorry, that is hardly an upgrade. If I wanted a kitchen, I would have booked that room. You should have asked me before making the change. No apologies from anyone for the error. Not impressed. We were rushed to get changed for a show and we lost 30 min from this error. Rooms are cleaned every second day so with our three night stay, we didn't mind. Only problem was the cleaner left a dirty rag on the night table. I've stayed all over the world in many different hotels and this has never happened. Lastly, every morning at 9am, someone knocked on our door. First morning, they had to change the shower head due to mold. Second day, the cleaner knocked. Bed wasn't bad but the pillows were standard pillows for a king bed. Overall, it was okay but I may not stay here again."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Fullwell?

The best time to go to Fullwell is between late spring and early autumn, specifically from May to September.

This period typically offers the most pleasant weather, with warmer temperatures and less rainfall, making it ideal for exploring the area's outdoor attractions and enjoying walks along the coast. You'll find that most local businesses and attractions are fully operational during these months, with longer opening hours.

For travellers who prefer a quieter experience and don't mind slightly cooler weather, late spring (May-June) or early autumn (September) can be particularly appealing. The crowds are generally smaller, and you can often find better value on accommodation. This is a great time for couples looking for a peaceful retreat, as the scenic coastal paths and gardens are at their best.

Families often find the summer months of July and August to be the most convenient due to school holidays. While it's the busiest time, the longer daylight hours and warmer sea temperatures are superb for enjoying the beaches and family-friendly activities.
