This hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff was excellent. Beautiful gardens and ample rooms with balconies made for a great stay.

Nice business hotel with gracious hosts

This is a convenient hotel in the north end of Fresno with easy access to restaurants. Standard Courtyard experience, which I appreciate.

Ugly Parking Lot Hotel Next to Freeway

Posted 15-Dec-2016
Pros: The location near the mall and where the young men we brought were playing their game against the university team.
Cons: Friendliness of check in staff. Better amenities. Microwave in room. Better mattresses. A way to let customers know it's a freeway room & offer other
Location: There's the mall, the university and a lot of choices for dining out.
From the unfriendly check-in staff to the lack of amenities to sitting on the freeway and hearing vehicles all night there has to be a better place to stay when your kids are playing university teams. They advertise microwaves like they are in the room, but they (as in 2) are downstairs in the lobby in a cubbie where they want you to buy popcorn and snacks of theirs to eat. The bar/dining room has to be the ugliest, poorly-thought-out-expensive creation so no one is ever sitting there, but the staff. WiFi is teared with the lower speed free in the room, but there's a price for upgrading to faster speeds. The mattress on my bed sank to the box-springs when you sat on it next to the end table, so it's obvious the mattress is old and has never been flipped or moved. They fill the freeway side of the hotel with guests so the rooms are loud. You have to keep the TV on in order not to hear the cars going by. My guess is they fill the lesser quality rooms with the online deal purchases. The Luggage Cart provided on the 3rd floor was DISGUSTING with so many fingerprints and dirt stuck to the brass that it looked like it hadn't seen the light of a cleaning rag in 10 years. Marriott hotels used to be the place you would always want to stay when traveling for work, but judging by this hotel a lot has changed with them. Nothing is free, even the water bottle in the room they want $2.95 for ... water. The coffee maker is that stupid plastic pre-filled container thing.

Our new favorite Hotel!

Posted 11-Dec-2016 on Hotels
Stayed here the night before a Disneyland trip, the following night we stayed at Disney's Grand Californian.... We both just kept saying " We should have stayed at Candlewood!" The room was much nicer and a fraction of the price.
