Great seasonal rate, pretty grounds, room dirty
First I'd like to note that we had to book a Hotel room, in January, for a 2 nights' stay (Sat. & Sun.) at the last minute for a family reunion in downtown Key West. We knew the hotel had a 3-star rating. The front desk guy was very nice and parking was ample. The ice machine was right downstairs. The pool and surroundings were beautiful and lush. The room had all that we needed: tv, mini fridge, mircrowave, coffee pot, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, soap, etc. and an excellent view of the pool and Bay. The bed was super comfortable, but upon closer review of the room, there were cobwebs up near the ceiling, and the lamp shades were dirty, with half the light bulbs being burned out (even in the bathroom) but still in place. The fan in the bathroom didn't work and the mirror was smeared, but the towels were clean, as were the sheets on the bed, and soap, lotion, shampoo & conditioner were supplied. Coffee was also supplied and they offer a continental breakfast with danish, rolls, juice (I think) and coffee. It wasn't so bad that I would not stay there again, but a few simple details (like the light bulbs) were overlooked. The room could use some updating and the carpeting cleaned. We took taxis most of the time and that is THE WAY TO GO since the streets are so narrow and people are everywhere. Since the room provided us with being able to take a clean shower and get a good-night's sleep, it was quite sufficient. We didn't use the pool but it looked amazing!
