Good Room for the Price; Hard-Working Owners

This is one of those typical, family-run, old motels, a bit off the interstate highway. The room was very dated, with old and inexpensive materials. However, this family is doing an excellent job: everything in the room was in good repair. There was no loose carpeting or wall coverings. The plumbing fixtures all work exactly right, and are installed firm and tight. Nothing in the room was broken, or haphazard. And, importantly, the room was very clean. The heating unit worked very well. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. But, the room is very old-looking, and nothing fancy. The shower was very small, and the shower head could not be moved to spray water in the best direction in the shower. But, that was also reflected in the price: it was cheap.

Very clean and the check in man was very nice and personable. The room was very small and dated. The TV was working fine but when we came back from eating it showed cable connection week.

Nice beachy, cute place but i think i got the worst room. It was for residential i think at a lower standard of environment. Had to get a sheet put up as window blind was broken. Nice area and surprisingly nice neighborhood to walk dog around block. Manager was very nice and kind but hurried and didn't seem to believe i wouldn't let dogs in which was an insult.

Worth staying for the price

The person working the front desk was very helpful. At first my room key did not want to work but after 3 tries the key finally worked. They offer free wifi but didn't have a real strong signal. My only real complaints were that there was no shower light and the hair dryer did not work. Other than those things I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area and need a room.

picked this hotel because I was able to back up my boat trailer and plug in for charging systems overnight. It simple & cheap like most fisherman are willing to do & only 10 minutes from Effingham with plenty of food places

Don't stay here!

My room smelled so bad I nearly gagged when I walked in. But, it was the middle of the night, I had already paid. and there were no alternatives. This hotel should not be listed on Travelocity.
