Smart hotel. Great location. Reasonabke prices.

Posted 08-Aug-2015
We stayed at Kemp Town house for three days. It's the fifth time we have stayed in Brighton and we looked for somewhere a little quieter, away from the main hustle and bustle. We booked the small double room and it was fair to say it was a small double room. However, the room had everything that was needed and was cleverly arranged to make sure you had everything you needed. The room however was extremely hot (a boiler was locked behind one of the cupboards and the heat it gave off was intense. At night we needed the window fully open and the fan on full in order to sleep (and it was still hot!). We did mention it to a member of staff who insisted that the room would cool down (it didn't). It didn't help that the seagulls made noise the entire night! Breakfast was amazing and the hotel was smartly kept. The price though was spot on... We were more than happy with what we got, for what we paid.

Exceptional Service and Comfort at Kemp Townhouse

Posted 19-Jun-2015
I had a one night stay at Kemp Townhouse and enjoyed every aspect from the very kind service to the comfort of my room. I found the location to be perfect for a walk along the boardwalk or a walk into the city centre. The service and breakfast in the morning was exceptional. Very polite staff. The room was very comfortable with all the bells and whistles. I will return and stay longer next time.

Cozy stay but little sleep

Posted 12-Jun-2015
Pros: cleanliness, staff, breakfast
Cons: soundproofing floors/ceiling
I stayed in room 003, which is directly beneath the kitchen. It is a small single room (very small). I could sit on the toilet without hitting the sink and when I showered it flooded the whole bathroom floor. The duvet was only a few cm longer than the width of the bed which was odd. The bed wasn't very comfortable, but not too bad. The only thing that really bothered me was the thumping noise coming from upstairs in the evening and early in the morning. So much for my relaxing getaway. The room was very pretty, modern and clean, but not user friendly.

Lovely jewel to find in Brighton

Posted 22-May-2015 on Hotels
I travel all over the country staying in lots of different places and lots of hotels and guest houses. Every now and then you come across a little jewel of a place like this one. The atmosphere is if a very lovely high class place and everything about it reflected this. The room was lovely, very tastefully decorated and even though the bathroom was really very small it was exceptionally done and more of a micro wet room with a lovely walk in shower. The small touches made all of the difference, from the very nice home made biscuits with real coffee and a cafetière to the complimentary decanter of port. I will be staying here again when I am back in Brighton.

Excellent Hotel Centrally Located

Posted 13-May-2015
Pros: Staff, Location, Room, Dining....pretty much everything.
Cons: In was the perfect stay, so nothing.
Location: Perfect location for getting to the major attractions and only steps from the water. You could actually see the water from our room.
This is a beautiful old townhouse that has been converted into a hotel. We were in the four poster room which was located in the front of the property. No elevators, so be prepared to climb flights of stairs, which were not an issue for us. The staff is incredibly kind and accomodating. The room was large and beautiful and stocked with amenities that helped make our stay more comfortable. Breakfast was included and was quite an extensive menu with lots of options. The wait staff was one of the best that I have encountered. The hotel itself is centrally located and we walked to everything, including the pier, Victoria Gardens, St. James street and the Royal Pavillion. There are tons of restaurants in the area to suit evey taste. This was a marvelous choice for our first time to Brighton and we couldn't have been more pleased.
